Lead the Crew. Own the Installation.

Bell Brothers is hiring an Electrical Lead Installer who combines residential electrical expertise with strong crew leadership and pride in workmanship.

You'll lead sold residential electrical installation projects from arrival through completion, taking responsibility for safe execution, code-compliant work, crew productivity, homeowner communication, and job closeout. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced electrician who can organize a project, solve field challenges, and develop the people working alongside them.

How We Work

At Bell Brothers, quality installation work means completing the approved scope correctly, respecting the homeowner's property, and keeping the crew safe and productive. You'll set the standard for workmanship, jobsite organization, and professional conduct.

We expect Lead Installers to coach less-experienced electricians and apprentices through clear instruction, thoughtful delegation, and field support. You'll assign work that matches each person's capabilities while remaining accountable for the finished installation.

You'll also know when to escalate. When site conditions, material needs, or technical concerns affect the approved plan, you'll work with Electrical leadership to resolve them rather than make unauthorized changes to scope, pricing, design, or customer commitments.

What You'll Do

  • Lead residential projects including main panel replacements, service upgrades, subpanels, rewires, device replacements, dedicated circuits, system upgrades, and electrical work supporting other trades.
  • Review the approved scope, material package, photos, notes, and installation requirements before starting work.
  • Coordinate scope questions, technical concerns, material issues, and additional work requirements with the Electrical Field Supervisor or appropriate leader.
  • Plan daily installation activities and assign tasks based on crew members' skills, project requirements, and safe work practices.
  • Perform and oversee installations that meet applicable electrical codes, manufacturer requirements, company standards, and the approved scope.
  • Coach apprentices and installers while maintaining responsibility for crew performance, conduct, and overall job execution.
  • Keep homeowners informed about work progress, expected interruptions, project status, and completion.
  • Monitor productivity and communicate potential delays or material shortages early, following department processes to keep work moving.
  • Complete testing and quality checks before placing installed systems or equipment into service.
  • Complete required ServiceTitan documentation, photos, invoice summaries, signatures, payment collection, financing paperwork, and work-completed acknowledgments.
  • Identify and communicate return work, corrections, restoration, inspection items, and follow-up needs before closing the job.
  • Maintain your assigned installation vehicle, tools, equipment, and company-issued property.

What You'll Bring

  • Current California Residential Electrician Certification or higher electrical certification.
  • Residential electrical installation experience sufficient to independently lead complex projects and direct a small crew.
  • Strong knowledge of service upgrades, main panels, subpanels, rewires, device replacements, branch circuits, grounding and bonding, wiring methods, and residential electrical equipment.
  • A strong understanding of applicable electrical codes and safe installation practices.
  • Ability to lead, delegate to, and develop apprentices and other installation crew members.
  • Professional communication with homeowners, crew members, and Electrical leadership.
  • Ability to use ServiceTitan or similar field-service software and mobile technology.

Experienced residential installers, lead electricians, journeyman-level electricians, and residential service electricians with substantial installation and crew-leadership experience are encouraged to apply.

Working Conditions

This is a hands-on field role in residential properties, including occupied homes. You'll perform installation work while directing the crew, maintaining safe working conditions, and protecting the homeowner's property. Safe use of tools, equipment, and appropriate personal protective equipment is required.
