Working Student IT Support (f/m/x) - Limited to 6 months

As a Working Student IT Support (f/m/x), you’ll be the go-to person for our team’s daily IT challenges solving problems, setting up devices, managing user access, and keeping our workplace running smoothly. You’ll gain real-world experience in system administration, endpoint management, and user support, all while learning from your teammates. Are you ready for your next chapter at BBG? 

This position is limited to 6 months as it is a parental leave replacement.

 

What you will do:  

  • Assist users with hardware and software issues (Laptop (Windows & Mac), PCs, printers, apps) 
  • Respond to support tickets or emails in a timely manner 
  • Assist with setting up new laptops, desktops, meetings rooms (Logitech devices) and mobile devices 
  • Install and configure operating systems and standard software 
  • Help troubleshoot basic connectivity issues (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN) 
  • Maintain access rights under supervision (e.g., Active Directory) 
  • Configure and setup workplaces 
  • Configure switch and servers with the help of network team 

 

What we are looking for:  

Must-Haves:

  • Enrolled in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline at least until 15.02. 
  • Available to work on site in our Berlin office at least two working days (8 hours each) per week 
  • Familiarity with Windows environments incl. system updates 
  • Understanding of different types of cables (Network, Audio & Video) 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist end users in a friendly and patient manner 
  • Eagerness to gain hands-on experience and adapt to new technologies or environments 
  • Fluency in English 

 

Nice-to-Haves: 

  • Familiarity with macOS environments 
  • Experience with user account setup and system configurations 
  • Exposure to ticketing systems, remote desktop tools, or asset management platforms
  • German language skills
