ABOUT THE ORCHESTRA FINANCE TEAM

The Orchestra Finance Team oversees financial results and works with our teams on client finance, growth strategies and the overall financial health of the company. We are responsible for the successful integration with our new partner companies as well as any future acquisition activity.

We work with management and other key agency stakeholders to drive profitability and monitor key performance indicators. We are growing a team of experienced finance professionals, change agents, Excel masters and complex problem-solvers to collaborate cross-functionally to assess financial strategies, systems and processes in an effort to drive the full-cycle financial health of all our clients.

 

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Orchestra is seeking a Senior Vice President, Client Finance to help lead our growing work and expand the business.  This person will serve as a key business partner, collaborating with practice leaders to help grow their business, offer strategic support, provide financial clarity, and ensure that business processes are adhered to and that the practices meet their financial goals.

This role will report to the Head of Finance and provide business support to our senior leadership team.

Role location: This role is based in our New York, N.Y. office on a hybrid basis. The Finance team is in-office at least 3 days per week.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

As a Senior Vice President, Client Finance on our Finance team, you will…

  • Supervise the client finance team of (2 VPs, Client Finance and 2 Financial Analysts)
  • Forecast, financial plan and drive solutions for each line of business
  • Work with our controller to drive month-end close and ensure practice budgets are accurate
  • Help develop enhanced processes to reduce close schedules while ensuring accuracy and optimal reporting
  • Perform financial modeling to better inform decision-making
  • Help develop reporting, streamline systems and drive best practice initiatives
  • Lead process and systems improvements, including the rollout of new timesheet reporting systems and BI reporting tools
  • Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models to the business leaders
  • Perform ad hoc projects as necessary
  • Contribute to overall practice management as well as firm-wide management

Essential skills:

  • 8-10 years of experience in client finance, 2+ years in a similar role. A background in advertising, PR, or similar is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing data, preparing findings and comfort with presenting findings to leadership and/or key stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of company staff, clients and contractors
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities at once, work quickly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel and computer skills, including Google Suite, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion

  • Demonstrated staff management experience and leadership skills
  • Comfort with taking initiative and can work without supervision and begin projects independently
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Preferred skills:

  • Experience with NetSuite

WORKING AT ORCHESTRA

Compensation philosophy: Orchestra offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.

Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $200,000-$225,000

Senior Vice Presidents are eligible for end of year bonuses based on firm, team and individual performance.
