Associate Brand Strategist

Position Overview

The Associate Brand Strategist will play a substantive role on brand assignments and new business opportunities, while collaborating with a more senior planner. They will be a primary contact with internal teams during the development of strategic/communications oriented work and gain heavy client exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing in-depth market, customer and competitive analyses  

• Identifying key questions, issues/opportunities and insight areas  

• Assist in developing POVs on brand and category dynamics  

• Serve as the internal team “expert” for planning and developing strategy and communications  

• Play a key role in the planning and execution of strategic client engagements  

The ideal Associate Brand Strategist has 1-3 years of related strategic experience, either in an agency or at research/consulting firm. They will exhibit analytic and organization skills, able to discern and capture important ideas. They are not afraid to take on new tasks/deliverables and exhibit strong problem-solving skills in all that they do. They have a developing sense of the right questions to ask and when to ask them. They are developing a sense of strategic possibilities and decision making. They communicate effectively and persuasively, both verbally and in writing. They are aware of their strengths and areas for growth and bring a desire to grow their overall strategic planning skill set.  

Salary Range: $58,656 - $75,000

BGBx is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York City metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
