Are you a skilled programmer with a passion for breaking things? We're seeking a *Senior Lead Test Automation Engineer* who combines exceptional programming abilities with a quality-focused mindset.
Unlike traditional QA roles, this position requires you to be a developer first—who happens to specialize in quality. You'll leverage your deep programming expertise to create sophisticated testing frameworks, develop complex test automation, and contribute to our codebase while ensuring everything we release meets the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with cloud-based technologies such as Azure, version control systems like GitHub and GitLab, and a strong understanding of testing methodologies. As a QA Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans to identify defects and ensure high-quality software releases.

Education
- B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Background & Experience
- 10 - 14 years of experience in Quality Assurance engineering – Test automation roles.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and architectures for complex systems.
- Lead the design and development of scalable test automation frameworks.
- Integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines and promote shift-left testing practices.
- Strong programming proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript—comparable to a mid-senior developer
- Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
- REST/SOAP testing, familiarity or expertise using tools like JMeter and SoapUI is a plus
- Expert network, security, Linux system administration, and troubleshooting skills
- Understand REST API for data interchange
- Solid knowledge of SQL databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar technologies
- Experience with industry standard automation and development tools (JIRA, Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.)
- Expertise in identifying performance bottlenecks and troubleshooting performance issues in multi-layers web applications
- Familiarity with security testing principles including penetration testing.
- Experience with production-level monitoring systems like Datadog and performance testing tools.
- Experience developing contract tests and contract test frameworks
- Experience implementing tools for monitoring service health, alerting, metrics
- Familiar with SSO, OAUTH2, OpenID, or SAML and RBAC concepts
- Understand user experience, usability, and ease of use
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the E2E testing team in developing and implementing automated testing strategies and frameworks.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation scripts for end-to-end testing using industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and enhancements.
- Mentor and guide team members in best practices for test automation and quality assurance.
- Build and integrate AI agents to enhance the automation framework and improve testing efficiency.
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall product quality.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to automation and AI, and apply relevant innovations to the team's processes.
- Prepare and present reports on testing progress, results, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and tools.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
