Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Partner (TAP) is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and seeing through hiring of top talent across a global portfolio of mining operations, including exploration, construction, and production. This role is integral in supporting business growth by delivering high-quality candidates for technical, operational, and corporate roles in diverse and often remote locations.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in mining or heavy industry recruitment, a proactive sourcing mindset, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, international environment.
The TAP will continue building on and extending internal client relationships through high-touch relationship management, customer focus and responsiveness. The TAP is a subject matter expert on the applicant tracking systems, candidate sourcing methodologies and recruitment process effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with hiring managers across multiple regions to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for a wide range of roles including mining engineers (underground/open pit), geologists and technical services professionals, operations, maintenance, and processing personnel, project and construction teams, and corporate and support functions
- Source candidates through a variety of channels including direct sourcing, industry networks, job boards, and job fairs
- Build and maintain a global talent pipeline for critical and hard-to-fill roles
- Facilitate recruitment intake meetings and set expectations for recruitment process
- Conduct candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to evaluate technical and cultural fit
- Coordinate and support international hiring processes, including relocation, secondments and mobilization
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle
- Track and report on recruitment metrics, market trends, and talent availability
- Support employer branding initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice in the mining industry
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and internal hiring policies across jurisdictions
Required Skills
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruitment experience, preferably within mining, natural resources, or heavy industry
- 5+ years of client facing experience interacting with Hiring Managers throughout the recruitment process
- 5+ years of experience developing and executing sourcing methodologies to include market mapping, recruitment strategies, AI tools and Boolean searches
- Demonstrated experience recruiting for technical and operational roles in remote or international locations
- Strong understanding of mining disciplines and organizational structures
- Experience working in a global or multi-site environment
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (e.g. Greenhouse) and sourcing tools (e.g. LinkedIn Recruiter)
- High school diploma
