About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Manager to lead our Collections Strategy. The candidate will play a critical role in shaping Bluevine’s collections strategy. The ideal candidate is someone who has grown in the collections space and knows the ins and outs of collection techniques, processes, and regulations. This candidate should have a track record of high performance in managing early-stage, late-stage, and third-party collections. This candidate should have experience in leading and motivating high-performing teams. Candidates must be able to manage relationships with key internal partners and stakeholders and collaborate with remote teams effectively.
What You'll Do:
- Drive strategic direction for collections and recoveries.
- Develop strategic framework, analytics, operations, and reporting for the collections team for pre-collection, early stage, late-stage and third-party collections.
- Partner with the risk analytics team to build a monitoring suite to optimize collection strategies.
- Review systems and processes within the collections team; identify process improvement current work procedures; optimize systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness; make recommendations where systems and processes can be enhanced.
- Ensure high-quality of documentation of procedures and processes for collections.
- Partner with third-party collection teams to drive performance.
- Monitor and present collections performance metrics to the senior management in the Credit Risk Committee.
What We Look For:
- 10 + years in collections, preferably in the commercial space
- 5+ years in a management capacity leading, influencing and motivating teams
- Extensive knowledge of collection techniques and regulations
- Strong problem-solving and analytical aptitude
- Ability to interpret data to build collection strategies
- Proven collection skills, negotiation skills, and ability to train
- Demonstrated process improvements
- Ability to professionally manage difficult customer communications
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with executive management and stakeholders
- Excellent Excel skills including formulas, graphs, and linked spreadsheets
- Ability to establish specific objectives & goals, develop policies and procedures
- Relates well to all levels of internal and external people; builds constructive and effective relationships; uses diplomacy and tact; can diffuse high-tension situations comfortably
