About the Job

You will lead the capital markets team in sourcing and leading new debt financing structures through tight collaboration with team members across the senior finance, legal, risk, and engineering teams. You will lead the execution of debt financing transactions with top investment banks, insurance companies, and lenders to complete goals for BlueVine’s fast-growing lending business. Working cross-functionally, you’ll maximize value for Bluevine and its financing partners.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with Finance leadership to develop and execute funding strategies and lead transactions that align with Finance and Executive team goals
  • Lead cross-functional working teams from Finance, Risk, Legal, Product, and R&D to create complex financing solutions
  • Work with lines of business and finance teams to develop new product analysis, including portfolio/collateral characteristics, peer group funding analysis and collateral comparison, rating agency report review, and any other information to support new product funding strategies
  • Design and manage the receivables forecasting and planning process in collaboration with Finance teams and with a wide range of senior team members to develop an effective framework for balance sheet management across lending products
  • Collaborate to manage the internal legal negotiation and documentation with outside counsel on various debt financing structures, including warehouse facilities and forward flow agreements
  • Assist with developing new lending relationships with banks, insurance companies, and hedge funds and run existing client relationships and deal teams
  • Build compelling investor presentations and marketing materials for various potential financing counterparties
  • Lead foreign exchange and exposure management, including development of hedge strategies and execution
  • Analyze various financing options (including warehouse facilities, forward flow whole loan sales, etc.) to determine the optimal funding strategy across all lending products
  • Oversee portfolio analytics, ensuring a return-focused (IRR) framework supports pricing recommendations and performance evaluations
  • Ensure timely circulation of reporting deliverables and monitoring of covenants across transactions and products and partner with rating agency auditors 
  • Manage and lead Capital Markets team, ensure processes are standardized and documented and support various ongoing and future projects as needed

What We Look For

  • 10+ years of experience in debt capital markets, structured products, or investment banking
  • Experience working at an investment bank, hedge fund, or FinTech lender
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across functions and levels
  • Ability to create relationships with corporate, structured product and securitization funding sources, including investment banks and regional banks, hedge funds, insurance companies, pensions, endowments and family offices
  • Proven experience structuring and executing transactions such as warehouse facilities, whole loan sales, and securitizations

New Hire Base Salary Range: $160,300 - $196,300.
This role is also eligible to earn annual performance-based incentive compensation in the form of a cash bonus.
