Our Warsaw office is an incredibly exciting addition to our EMEA expansion. We're already in the UK, France, and Germany, and the new Poland location is a global engineering and product development hub alongside our headquarters in Redwood City, California. Join our growing engineering teams in Warsaw as we expand by over 100 members in 2024! Depending on your skills, experience, and preferences, you’ll have the opportunity to join one of several teams to solve some of the toughest challenges as we build out the future of content management in the cloud. Your work will directly impact the productivity of millions of users at some of today’s most significant enterprises.

We are currently looking for the engineers for the following teams:

  • Enterprise Activity Management team is a part of Box's Enterprise Engineering organization. Our main customers are 200K+ enterprise admins, whose responsibilities are to set up and configure Box apps for their enterprises, onboard and migrate users, set rules and permissions for users, groups, files, and folders within their orgs, and run reports. Therefore our team has two major domains: Insights&Reports (I&R), and Users&Groups (U&G).

  • Content Capabilities team is new and aims to support significant growth for the Box Content Cloud. We focus on creating innovative platform features that help product teams and customers deliver unique experiences for millions of users. We're nearing the launch of our first set of features, which will enhance collaboration on content. The team has an exciting roadmap ahead with many new capabilities to develop. We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join us in tackling challenging problems in content management. Your work will directly impact the productivity of millions at leading enterprises.

  • Relay team works together to delight our users by enabling them to automate routine tasks. Our products save users time and deliver results in consistent manner. As our team in Poland continues to grow and take on building new product, we are looking for a seasoned engineer who can own large components of the system and work independently. In this role, your work will impact millions of users, who use Relay to get their work done on a daily basis.

  • Device Security team is responsible for some of the most critical systems at Box—ensuring only trusted devices can access our Intelligent Content Management platform. As businesses demand increasingly sophisticated controls over user access, this team’s work is central to Box’s security and compliance posture. In this role, you'll drive key initiatives in the secure access space, partnering closely with product, security, and infrastructure teams. We’re looking for a technically strong engineer who thrives on platform-level thinking, has experience working with large-scale systems, and is motivated by the challenges of building highly available, secure services for enterprise customers.

  • Storage Platform team designs and maintains core services that form the first line of interaction between various protocols (like FTP uploads or email uploads) and Box’s content API stack. Their work directly impacts user experience by managing critical data ingress/egress flows at scale. This team plays essential role in shaping Box’s future by delivering high-performance distributed systems deployed on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring security and reliability throughout the entire content lifecycle.
  • Seat Growth & Retention team is a newly formed, high-impact group dedicated to increasing active users within existing customer accounts. They focus on building innovative tools and features that encourage customers to add more users and licenses. Additionally, they develop monitoring systems that use usage data to identify accounts at risk of churn. Our work directly supports driving user adoption and long-term customer success.

  • Metadata team enables customers to add valuable context to their files, turning them into actionable content within the Box Intelligent Cloud. They focus on organizing, discovering, annotating, securing, and retaining content through advanced metadata capabilities. As more Box products like Shield, Relay, Forms, Sign, and Governance integrate with the Metadata Platform, its adoption continues to grow rapidly. The team is dedicated to building a next-generation Metadata Platform that will drive intelligent content management in the cloud. Their work directly impacts the productivity of millions of users across leading enterprises worldwide.

Who you are: 

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong coding skills with demonstrated proficiency in one ot the following programming languages such as Java, Python, Scala or PHP
  • Familiarity with Node.js is a plus
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Amazon Web Services.
  • Skilled in designing and developing APIs.
  • Proven ability to design, build, and deploy high-quality software.
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming.
  • Passionate about new technologies with the capability to implement them in existing products.
  • Demonstrates ownership mentality and strives for excellence in both technical work and team interactions.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Participate in our on-call rotation, available at all times while on-call to help respond to and triage any issues that arise.
