In This Role
In this role, the software engineer will design and build advanced technology solutions that support a large‑scale security and trust‑focused organization. The engineer will develop intuitive user interfaces, robust backend systems, and AI‑driven business workflow applications. This position requires deep technical leadership, the ability to build and optimize enterprise‑grade software, and strong communication skills to articulate complex solutions. The work includes contributing to full‑stack development as well as shaping the infrastructure behind AI‑powered business tools.
ResponsibilitiesSoftware & Systems Engineering
- Design, develop, test, and evaluate complex software systems for enterprise‑level business and security applications.
- Develop full‑stack technology solutions, including user interfaces and backend services supporting AI‑driven workflows.
- Review and approve modifications to existing databases and database management systems.
- Direct development of logical and physical database descriptions; ensure proper identifiers and schema definitions.
- Approve project scopes, limitations, and technical approaches for database‑related projects.
Security & Compliance
- Plan and implement security measures to protect data against unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure.
- Approve, schedule, and supervise installation and testing of new systems, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Develop standards, guidelines, and best practices for software acquisition, usage, and information protection.
Technical Leadership
- Estimate time and cost for project requests and system enhancements.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and implement system modifications as required.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance, and constructive feedback to team members.
- Work independently while managing projects, priorities, and deliverables.
Experience
- 8–10+ years building and deploying Azure DevOps build pipelines.
- 8–10+ years working with medium‑scale AI systems in production environments.
- 8–10+ years of experience with network security, identity, and authentication fundamentals.
- 10+ years total software engineering experience.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of the full SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, delivery).
- Expert troubleshooting and systems‑level problem‑solving.
- Expert knowledge of software development systems/tools (e.g., SQL, Visual Basic, or comparable technologies).
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and systems‑level software.
Soft Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service mindset and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Experience mentoring or guiding other engineers.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Salary Range
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $125,000 to $135,000/Annually. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
