Program Manager – Portfolio Operations & Reporting

In This Role
In this role, you will drive operational excellence across a portfolio of strategic initiatives by establishing consistent program management frameworks, enabling clear intake and prioritization processes, and delivering leadership-ready reporting. You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and predictable delivery across multiple workstreams.
You will act as a central point of coordination for planning, governance, and execution, helping initiative owners stay focused on outcomes while you manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and communication. This role requires a balance of program management rigor, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills to translate complex updates into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Intake & Prioritization
- Design and manage intake processes for new initiatives, including triage, prioritization, and backlog tracking
- Facilitate alignment sessions with stakeholders to define scope, ownership, and expected outcomes
- Maintain visibility into incoming requests, capacity, and prioritization decisions
Program & Project Management
- Provide hands-on program/project management support across multiple initiatives
- Build and maintain project plans, milestones, and workback schedules
- Track progress against deliverables and ensure timely execution
Governance & Frameworks
- Establish and standardize program management artifacts (charters, RAID logs, communication plans, etc.)
- Facilitate governance meetings and ensure actions, decisions, and changes are documented and tracked
- Drive consistent execution practices across teams
RAID & Dependency Management
- Maintain and track risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies across initiatives
- Identify potential blockers early and coordinate mitigation strategies
- Drive cross-team alignment to resolve dependencies and maintain delivery timelines
Reporting & Executive Communication
- Develop and maintain portfolio-level dashboards, scorecards, and status reports
- Deliver clear, leadership-ready updates highlighting progress, risks, and key decisions
- Support executive communications by consolidating data and building narratives
Tooling, Automation & Insights
- Leverage tools such as Power BI, Excel, and collaboration platforms to streamline reporting
- Support automation of reporting processes and improve data accuracy and consistency
- Generate insights to support decision-making and performance tracking
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Create and maintain program management playbooks, templates, and best practices
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive adoption of enhancements
- Support onboarding and enablement for project stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in program or project management, business operations, or related roles
- Proven experience managing multiple initiatives and coordinating cross-functional teams
- Strong experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI and Excel
- Experience creating project plans, tracking milestones, and managing dependencies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to leadership
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Experience working in large, enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with Microsoft data platforms (e.g., Dataverse, Fabric)
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira)
- Exposure to automation or AI-assisted tools for reporting and analysis
- Experience building or contributing to PMO frameworks and governance models
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into insights
Salary Range
At Blueprint, we strive to offer competitive pay that reflects the value of our team members. Compensation for this role is influenced by a variety of factors, including skills, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographic market. For candidates based in Washington State, the anticipated salary range is $110,000– $115,000 USD Per annum. Please note that we typically do not hire new employees at the top of the posted range. Actual starting pay will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The final salary and job title may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and could fall outside the stated range.
