Our growing employment law practice is seeking a motivated and passionate Junior Attorney to join our team! This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with litigation, client interaction, and strategic case development from day one. The ideal candidate is eager to advocate for employees and make a meaningful impact in their legal journey.

Responsibilities

  • Support a diverse caseload of employment matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, and whistleblower actions.
  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and legal briefs.
  • Participate in client intake, meetings strategy sessions.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and develop persuasive arguments.
  • Appear in court for conferences, motion arguments, and other proceedings.
  • Assist in preparing for mediations, hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Maintain organized case files and monitor deadlines to ensure timely case progression.

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar. Admission to the New York bar is a plus.
  • Passion towards advocating for individuals with employment-related claims.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, collaborative, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous learning.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation Range:

$80,000 - $100,000 USD

Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
