Senior Motion Designer

Mumbai, India

Brandtech+ (formerly known as OLIVER+) is a global team of creative thinkers, tech-savvy trendsetters, and production pros specialising in film, CGI, automation, AI, motion design, and digital/print content. We partner with over 300 clients in 40+ countries and counting. Our focus is to connect clients with high-quality solutions, talent and ambitious opportunities worldwide.

As a part of The Brandtech Group, we're at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge AI technology to revolutionise how we create and deliver work. Our AI solutions enhance efficiency, spark creativity, and drive insightful decision-making, empowering our teams to produce innovative and impactful results.

Role: Senior Motion Designer

Location: Remote working until further notice

About the role:
As a Senior Motion Designer embedded within our client's in-house team, you will be the definitive motion expert — the sole owner of the discipline and the go-to authority for all things moving image. Working closely with the Studio Project Lead and the wider creative team, you will be responsible for bringing  the client’s brands to life through dynamic, visually compelling content across digital and social platforms.

Your remit will span the full breadth of motion design: from adapting, resizing, and producing cut-downs of existing video assets, to building animations entirely from scratch and editing multi-source footage into polished, cohesive final deliverables. You'll be expected to lead the process from concept to completion, developing storyboards that translate creative briefs into clear visual narratives before a single frame is rendered.

As the only motion designer on the team, you'll set the standard for the craft, proactively bringing fresh ideas to the table and confidently presenting your thinking and your work to both internal stakeholders and client teams. This is a senior role that demands not only exceptional technical ability but also a strong creative voice, clear communication, and the drive to push the quality of motion output forward. Experience with AI platforms, particularly Pencil, will be central to how you work — enabling smarter, faster, and more innovative production at scale.

What you will be doing:

  • Adapting, resizing, and producing cut-downs of video content for use across a wide range of digital and social media platforms, ensuring every asset is optimised for its intended format and channel.
  • Developing detailed storyboards from brief to execution, translating creative concepts and campaign strategies into clear, engaging visual narratives.
  • Creating animations from scratch, with strong attention to timing, brand alignment, and visual storytelling.
  • Editing video content by combining multiple sources of footage into seamless, polished final assets that meet both creative and technical requirements.
  • Acting as the team's in-house motion expert, owning the discipline end-to-end and championing best-in-class standards across all output.
  • Leveraging AI tools, including Pencil, to enhance production workflows, explore innovative creative approaches, and deliver work
  • efficiently at scale.
  • Proactively contributing ideas and creative solutions, bringing a forward-thinking perspective to briefs rather than simply executing to instruction.
  • Presenting concepts, work-in-progress, and final deliverables clearly and confidently to both internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional creative, strategy, and marketing teams to ensure motion assets align with broader campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Keeping pace with emerging motion design trends, platform updates, and new technologies to consistently bring fresh thinking to the team.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a breadth of motion work across digital and social formats.
  • Proven experience adapting, resizing, and creating cut-downs of video content for multiple platforms, aspect ratios, and audience contexts.
  • Strong storyboarding capability, with the ability to visualise and communicate a concept clearly before production begins.
  • Solid video editing skills, including the ability to pull together multiple footage sources into compelling, cohesive final cuts.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-powered production tools, particularly Pencil, and an enthusiasm for integrating emerging technology into your creative process.
  • Experience with Blender or other 3D tools is a bonus and will be highly regarded.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to articulate creative decisions and present work persuasively to both internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach — you take ownership of your work, bring ideas without being prompted, and are always looking for ways to elevate the output.
  • The ability to operate independently as the sole motion designer on the team
  • A collaborative mindset, with the interpersonal skills to work fluidly across creative, account, and strategy teams.
  • A sharp eye for detail, a refined aesthetic sensibility, and a genuine passion for the craft of motion design.
  • 7+ years of experience
