Description:
The US Quality Engineer is responsible for coordinating the entire client complaint process (Import, Local, and Logistics) and for coordinating client requests for information through questionnaires and Supplier Quality Manuals or other documents applicable to the region or business line.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Client complaints management process from receipt to conclusion for all complaint types (including warehouse/logistics, product quality, commercial, etc.) and measuring the performance of the complaints process to verify effectiveness (e.g., determine the time taken to complete critical steps in the complaint process).
- Client complaints management process for global complaints resulting from imported products impacting local clients and exported products manufactured in the local region impacting clients in other regions.
- Function as the client complaints coordinator for regional and global complaints. This includes compiling investigation information and drafting client statements and responses to address complaints based on the investigation process.
- Drive and coordinate investigations on customer complaints to determine root cause. Take the lead on the investigations for high-impact/high-cost complaints to allow the plant to focus on production
- Collaborate with research, application, and process technology engineers to investigate and propose solutions to internal quality issues and external customer quality issues
- Track the cost of non-quality in the client complaints process
- Organize and facilitate the client audits in the plants
- Ensure corrective action plan management working in conjunction with regional Quality Assurance resulting from client complaints following nonconformances resulting from customer audits
- Facilitate information gathering in response to client requests, including questionnaires and supplier quality manuals/quality agreements
- Maintain and improve client-focused Intelius processes relevant to this position
- Provide input for the improvement of Intelius and participate in projects as assigned by regional coordinators
- Identify and lead Quality Improvement opportunities and projects
- Drive and coordinate special client requirements, being the focal point between the request and the owners of the information to issue an organizational response through an official letter and/or evidence from Braskem to respond to the client's requests.
- Propose and execute NAM projects aligned with Global Quality to achieve the objectives proposed by the IP&S Management
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with at least 10 years of work experience
- Trained as an ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor
- Knowledge of polypropylene – understanding of additives, product characteristics etc.
- Knowledge of product testing
- Six Sigma/Lean Project implementation experience
- Sound mathematical/statistical and technical skills
- Good Investigation (root cause analysis) and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to think logically and methodically
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively
