As an Operations Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of airline operations. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to flight operations, scheduling, maintenance, and overall performance. Your insights will help drive strategic decisions and improve operational processes.  Critical thinking and analytical skills are crucial to the role, and the right candidate will have their fingers on the pulse of the aviation industry and the broader market.

Here's what you'll do

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights to management and operational teams
  • Deliver ad-hoc analyses for operational, commercial, and administrative projects
  • Build processes and procedures for proper analyses
  • Develop dashboards and metrics for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and IT, to ensure data accuracy and support decision-making
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions to enhance operational efficiency
  • Submit required DOT 14 CFR Part 234 Reports
  • Ensure underlying operational databases are complete, accurate, and consistent for full historical reporting and analyses
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by leadership
  • Analyze metrics related to departure completion, departure and arrival performance, block performance, fuel usage and other related metrics
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence

Here's what you'll need to be successful

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the aviation industry
  • Aviation or Operational experience
  • High performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R), strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Complete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with various BI tools, especially PowerBI
  • Experience with SQL/Python
