Who You Are

The Chief of Staff reports directly to the President, serving as a strategic thought partner and providing critical support in decision-making processes, overseeing strategic business initiatives, enabling seamless communication across the organization, and ensuring smooth operations. As an extension of the President, this position is inherently flexible, taking a central role in projects that are of top strategic priority for GondolaBio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, discretion, and impeccable operational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead G&A services, including finance, HR, IT, and legal 
  • Support ad hoc corporate opportunity analysis and decisions 
  • Collaborate with functional experts as a strategic partner to support the success of GondolaBio programs, such as organize and interpret incoming data, including understanding the external landscape in disease areas relevant to GondolaBio projects 
  • Manage meetings with key stakeholders and other senior leaders, including Program Review Meetings 
  • Perform other strategic analyses and projects as needed to support the work of GondolaBio

Education, Experience & Skills Requirements

  • Passion for delivering life-changing treatment options into the hands of patients 
  • Familiarity with the drug discovery & development process 
  • Proven scientific acumen, communication skills, and an analytical mindset 
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems using a structured, analytical approach 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Comfort working independently and as part of a diverse team 
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills 
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a self-starter attitude 
  • Extremely fast learner 
  • Exquisitely detail-oriented 
  • 3 to 6+ years of relevant operational / strategy experience in biopharma 
  • Ph.D., MD, or other graduate degrees in the life sciences strongly preferred

At GondolaBio, we strive to provide a market-competitive total rewards package, including base pay, an annual performance bonus, company equity, and generous health benefits. Below is the anticipated salary range for candidates for this role who will work in California. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience within the industry, educational background, location of residence and performance during the interview process. GondolaBio is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions based in other states.
