We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Nutritional Chemist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is passionate about using science to improve human health and wellness and stays current with the latest developments in the field. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply expertise in nutritional chemistry to make a meaningful impact.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research on the chemical and biochemical properties of food and nutrients, their effects on human health, and methods to enhance food quality and safety.
- Perform chemical analyses on food and food-related products to assess their nutritional content.
- Design experiments to evaluate the effects of different nutrients on human health.
- Collaborate with scientists, dietitians, and healthcare professionals to translate research findings into practical recommendations for health improvement and disease prevention.
- Develop nutritional guidelines and contribute to research on new foods, supplements, and ingredients that support chronic disease prevention and overall well-being.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a laboratory setting conducting nutritional research.
- Experience in nutrient analysis related to water quality.
- Ability to manage large sample workloads (8,000+ samples).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in various analytical techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with excellent data management and analysis skills.
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Dedication to providing excellent customer service in all circumstances.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work at a desk for extended periods.
