Franchise Sales, Healthcare Specialist Managing Director
Job Purpose:
BTIG seeks a seasoned Managing Director to join our Franchise Sales team as a Healthcare sales Specialist in our New York office. The ideal candidate will have trusted buy-side and corporate relationships within the healthcare space. In this role, you will work collaboratively across the firm; successfully contributing to the strategy of the franchise and providing insights on elevating the BTIG brand.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and leverage deep and diversified healthcare client and corporate relationships primarily focused on Biotechnology
- Proactively engage with institutional investors and procure meaningful, long-term relationships to drive idea generation, trading activity, and strategic engagement across healthcare subsectors (Biotech, MedTech, Life Science and Diagnostic Tools, HC Services, Digital Health)
- Partner closely with research analysts to understand and communicate differentiated investment thesis and company-specific catalysts as well as provide investor specific feedback
- Coordinate with healthcare investment banking, ECM, research and corporate access teams to support department strategies, deal visibility and client engagement strategy
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in healthcare equity sales, investor relations, buy-side analyst role, sell-side analyst role or related financial services function with meaningful exposure to institutional clients.
- Demonstrated and verifiable track record of cultivating and monetizing relationships with buy-side investors across various fund types (hedge funds, long-only, multi-strategies, specialists).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset, especially in working with generalist sales, research analysts and banking teams.
- Proven ability to recruit investors for events and generate meaningful follow-up dialogue.
- Bachelor's degree required (science background preferred); advanced degree a plus (PharmD, PhD, MD)

Compensation:
- BTIG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
- The current estimated base salary range for this role is $250,000 - $350,000 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus or overtime.
