As the NPD Project Manager at Bubble, you will oversee the global planning, coordination, and execution of new product launches from concept to market introduction. Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Product Development, Marketing, Creative, Sourcing, Operations and Retail, you will ensure that products are launched successfully, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will also play a key role in enhancing the New Product Development (NPD) process, driving operational efficiencies, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

The NPD Project Manager reports to the Director of Marketing and Creative Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Project Management

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end project management of new product launches, from development through delivery, ensuring alignment across multiple channels and regions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines, including dependencies, owners, deadlines, and durations to ensure smooth execution.
  • Proactively identify and solve problems, mitigating risks and obstacles that could impact project timelines, cost, and quality.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings, including tactical (operations, vendor calls, team meetings) and strategic (leadership) meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update the project tracker, serving as the source of truth for all project visibility, communication, and alignment.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal teams and external suppliers to establish and execute project plans, ensuring the successful delivery of product launches.

Process Improvements & Strategy

  • Evaluate and refine the New Product Development (NPD) process, identifying areas for improvement and driving the adoption of best practices across cross-functional teams.
  • Act as the NPD timeline subject matter expert, providing recommendations on process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce risks, and drive better outcomes.
  • Conduct post-launch analyses to identify key learnings, continuously refining the launch process for future products.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive launch strategies that align with the company’s goals and ensure successful market introductions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with Product Development, Sourcing, Creative, Marketing, Operations and Retail and external partners to ensure alignment and seamless execution of the launch plan.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
  • Regularly communicate with senior management to provide updates on project progress, risks, and performance against key milestones.
  • Manage relationships with distributors, retailers, and partners to ensure successful product rollout and execution of sales strategies.

Risk Mitigation & Issue Resolution

  • Identify and address any risks or issues that could impact the product’s market introduction, working with the team to develop solutions that ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, ensuring that products meet all necessary specifications before launch.

Launch Marketing Support

  • Work closely with marketing, PR, and event teams to align on launch strategies and promotional activities, ensuring a successful product introduction.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to manage inventory, ensuring product availability aligns with launch timelines.

Continuous Improvement & Industry Awareness

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in future product launches.
  • Leverage feedback and outcomes from past launches to continuously refine the launch process, contributing to the company’s ongoing improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Beauty industry experience
  • Experienced with the development process steps for stock and custom tooled packaging components.
  • Knowledgeable about the development of packaging and finished goods in Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
  • Familiar with Regulatory requirements for Cosmetic and OTC in the US, Canada, Europe, & Asia
  • Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional product launches from concept through market introduction.
  • Strong understanding of New Product Development processes and timelines.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and drive results.
  • Ability to balance scope, time, and cost while remaining flexible and adaptable.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Wrike) 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
