Compensation Range: $63,000 to $75,000 Annual Salary

We are seeking a detail-oriented AR Deductions Analyst to join our dynamic finance team and help drive efficient financial operations.
Job Overview
The AR Deductions Analyst will be responsible for managing and resolving customer deductions, chargebacks, and disputes to ensure accurate and timely cash application. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as Sales, Operations, and Customer Service.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate & Resolve Deductions: Research and analyze customer deductions, chargebacks, and disputes related to trade promotions, pricing discrepancies, shortages, damages, and returns.
- Validate & Document Claims: Work with internal teams and customers to validate deductions, gather supporting documentation, and determine the legitimacy of claims.
- Dispute & Recovery Efforts: Challenge unauthorized deductions by preparing and submitting disputes and supporting documents to customers.
- Cash Application Support: Partner with the AR team to ensure accurate application of payments and deductions.
- Monitor Aging Reports: Maintain and analyze deduction aging reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve deduction resolution time and reduce financial exposure.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to resolve issues and provide regular reporting on deduction trends and status updates.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies and maintain proper documentation of deduction resolutions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Deductions Management, or related finance roles, preferably within the beauty, CPG, or retail industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Netsuite ERP system, experience with automated deductions platform, and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze large sets of data and identify trends.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Strong collaboration skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
