Strategic Partner Manager

Remote / US

About Us

Butlr is on a mission to make the built environment people-aware. We live and work in houses and buildings that aren't aware of their inhabitants. We heat and cool spaces when no one is in them, clean areas that haven't been used, and lease office space that no one is using. Our vision is to enable smarter buildings and increase the quality of life while respecting privacy.

Spun out of the MIT Media Lab in 2019 with offices in Silicon Valley and Boston, Butlr was founded by Forbes 30 Under 30 entrepreneurs Honghao Deng and Jiani Zeng. Butlr pioneers in space occupancy and people sensing technologies and delivers rich spatial intelligence for workplace, retail, and healthcare use cases. We help customers revolutionize the way they operate in human-centric environments, ensuring efficiency and productivity at every step.

We are backed by top venture capital institutions and strategic investors such as Foundry Group, Tiger Global, Qualcomm Ventures, E14 Fund, and Carrier, among others. We are recognized as one of Fast Company's "2024 Most Innovative Companies", Inc. Magazine's "2023 Best in Business'' (AI & Data Category), World Economic Forum's Top Innovator in YES San Francisco Challenge, among other awards/recognitions. We operate with top occupiers, landlords, care facilities, and service providers in North America, Europe, and Asia. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional solutions and service to numerous prestigious customers, tech giants, and world's largest conglomerates and brands.

We’re growing fast and seeking a high-impact Strategic Partner Manager to help us accelerate that momentum through our global partner ecosystem.

About the Role:

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of GTM strategy, partner enablement, and enterprise growth. You’ll own and scale Butlr’s channel and strategic alliance efforts — identifying, onboarding, and activating high-value partners that expand our market presence and support large-scale enterprise deals.

As the primary point of contact and face of Butlr for our channel partners, you’ll act as both project manager and strategic liaison — ensuring partner opportunities are supported, coordinated, and aligned with our enterprise sales team and internal resources. You’ll play a high-ownership role in formalizing our partner framework and driving measurable impact across sourced pipeline, co-sell execution, and partner-led expansion. This role is highly cross-functional, working across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to scale repeatable, revenue-generating partner programs that align with Butlr’s go-to-market strategy and long-term growth.

Requirements:

  • 5–8+ years in strategic partnerships, alliances, or channel sales — ideally at a SaaS, IoT, or workplace tech company
  • Track record of driving partner-led revenue and joint GTM execution
  • Experience navigating complex B2B sales cycles and co-selling into enterprise accounts
  • Strong communication and executive presence; able to influence internally and externally
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-moving startup environment

Responsibilities:

Channel Growth and Management

  • Expand and deepen our network of Solution and Application Partners, Systems Integrations, Commercial Real Estate and Facilities Management Service Providers and Consulting Firms.
  • Build trusted relationships and drive adoption of Butlr’s platform across partner organizations
  • Evolve our partner framework with clear tiers, benefits, incentives, and engagement models
  • Represent Butlr at relevant industry events, trade shows, and partner conferences to strengthen relationships, identify new opportunities, and stay aligned with market trends

Pipeline Sourcing and Distribution

  • Equip our enterprise sales team with the knowledge and positioning of partner solutions, helping to identify internal Butlr-led opportunities where a partner-solution can strengthen our value proposition and improve win-rates within key accounts.
  • Enable partners to generate and qualify new opportunities
  • Coordinate lead sharing and attribution with Butlr’s AE team
  • Monitor partner-influenced pipeline and deal acceleration across key accounts

Co-Sell and Field Engagement

  • Collaborate with Butlr AEs on joint sales motions with key partners
  • Orchestrate workshops, proof-of-concepts, and strategic presentations
  • Drive alignment between partner and Butlr stakeholders throughout the sales cycle

Partner Enablement and Support

  • Deliver clear, actionable training programs around Butlr’s platform, positioning, and value props
  • Equip partners with sales playbooks, demo tools, use case guides, and deployment best practices
  • Manage onboarding and ongoing engagement touchpoints to keep partners active and productive

Strategy and Feedback Loop

  • Represent the partner voice internally to influence GTM, product, and pricing
  • Support cross-functional initiatives including events, joint campaigns, and success stories
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and product to refine messaging and surface field insights

Reporting and Program Ops

  • Track KPIs: sourced/influenced pipeline, revenue contribution, partner engagement
Maintain CRM and partner records (e.g., HubSpot, GDrive)
  • Deliver executive-level summaries on partner program performance and strategic growth levers

Salary:

OTE: $150k - $180k (salary + incentive)

Benefits:

  • World-class team with low ego.
  • A work environment that is flexible
  • Comprehensive health benefits package
  • Retirement savings plan
  • Flexible time off
  • Professional development opportunities
