Product Manager

We are modernizing core operational systems that power our main business models across clients, distributors, suppliers, and internal teams. We are looking for a strong mid-level Product Manager to own a critical workflow stream within a broader systems transformation initiative. This role sits at the center of a multi-phase platform evolution and will shape how our operational systems scale over the next several years. This role reports directly to the Product Lead and works closely with Engineering, UX, and Business stakeholders. 

Your scope will include:

• Designing and structuring complex, rule-based workflows
• Building tools that replace manual and spreadsheet-driven processes
• Developing pricing and comparison logic frameworks
• Supporting automated contract and documentation generation
• Translating business rules into scalable system functionality

As the initiative evolves, you will also co-own:

• The design and expansion of external-facing portals
• Structured user flows for suppliers and distributors
• Permission models and role-based access
• Visibility and reporting experiences for external partners
• Workflow automation between internal teams and external stakeholders
• Your work will integrate tightly with foundational platform architecture defined by the Product Lead.

This position is remotely based. We are unable to offer work sponsorship for this role.

Your impact:

Discovery & Systems Design

• Deeply understand existing workflows and operational processes
• Translate complex business rules into structured system designs
• Identify edge cases, dependencies, and failure scenarios
• Design scalable logic frameworks that reduce manual intervention

Product Definition & Modeling

• Define clear functional requirements and success metrics
• Model conditional logic, state transitions, and rule flows
• Partner with UX to simplify complex workflows
• Ensure solutions are maintainable and extensible

Cross-Functional Execution

• Work closely with Engineering to translate logic into implementation
• Collaborate across contracts, pricing, procurement, and operations
• Drive alignment through structured communication
• Support features from discovery through launch and iteration

Continuous Improvement

• Measure usage and workflow impact
• Identify automation opportunities
• Reduce manual effort and spreadsheet reliance

About you:

• Operates autonomously in ambiguity
• Thinks in systems, states, and structured logic
• Anticipates complexity before development begins
• Asks structural questions
• Reduces operational friction
• Can independently get from ambiguity → structured proposal
• Requires minimal intervention to move from idea → solution → delivery
• 3–5 years Product Management experience minimum
• Demonstrated experience shipping complex, rule-driven systems
• Experience working closely with Engineering and UX
• Strong systems thinking and modeling ability
• Comfortable working in ambiguity
• Strong written and structured thinking skills
• Data-driven decision maker
• Produce or foodservice industry exposure (Preferred)
• Experience with pricing, contracts, or rule-based systems (Preferred)
• Experience building B2B platforms or external portals (Preferred)
• Financial systems or contract workflow experience (Preferred)
• Experience replacing spreadsheet-based workflows (Preferred)
