Senior Manager, Professional Programs - Remote, USA

Position Overview: 

The Sr. Manager, Professional Programs is a key leadership role within the Marketing organization at Calyxo with primary responsibility for educational programs and physician development initiatives. This role will develop and manage programs for initial and on-going education and clinical support for HCPs utilizing the company's products. These educational programs will increase awareness and engagement with HCPs to drive consideration and adoption of Calyxo products. Activities include fellowship and resident education programs, peer to peer programs and all other HCP training programs in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Commercial Acceleration and Clinical/Medical Affairs.  This role will lead physician development initiatives to develops and foster relationships with KOLs in the endourology field to facilitate establishment of Calyxo as the preferred industry partner and generate strong podium presence at the key urology conferences. This role report to the VP of Marketing.

Responsibilities:

Academic Programs

  • Creating and executing Calyxo physician engagement strategy, focusing on educational and corporate consulting initiatives for physicians from Fellowship to Leadership.
  • Fellows Programs: Create, execute and facilitate educational programs for endourology fellows, and foster long lasting relationships as the fellows transition into their new roles.
  • Fellowship Grant Support: Participate on the Fellows Grant Committee to identify, select and grant fellowship scholarships to endourology programs that train endourology fellows
  • Resident Programs: Create, execute and facilitate educational programs for urology residents interested in endourology, and foster long lasting relationships as the residents transition into their new roles.
  • Emerging Thought Leaders: Execute and facilitate programs and corporate research projects for emerging leaders at academic endourology programs who have recently completed their endourology fellowship.

Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Development

  • Develops, fosters and maintains relationships with KOLs in the endourology field
  • Act as a key liaison between KOLs and Calyxo through leading, building, and nurturing successful strategic partnerships on behalf of Calyxo with existing and new KOLs
  • Support KOL influence‐mapping initiatives by developing profiles and engagement/ communication plans for each KOL
  • Engage with academic thought leaders to drive impact through peer-to-peer engagement, focused meetings, and influential advisory boards
  • Proactively seek out and cultivate relationships with new KOLs who can help expand the brand's reach and influence.

Peer-to-peer Education

  • Develop and execute effective education initiatives to drive market growth and adoption of Calyxo products with urologists and their staff
  • Identify, establish and manage physician faculty that drive Calyxo messaging with the urologists treating kidney stone disease
  • Plan and execute educational programs for urologists treating kidney stone disease including identifying program course directors, faculty, and collaborate with the rest of the marketing team in developing program objectives, agenda and content based on the Calyxo strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and implement educational strategies using techniques such as e-learning, self-learning, web-based learning, experiential learning to meet the training needs.
  • Manage HCP speaking and advisory contracts, faculty roster, calendar, budget and payment.

Program and Cross functional Leadership 

  • Translate business requirements into professional education programs through focused curriculum design, training event management, product training, and staff mentoring
  • Perform on-going comprehensive needs assessments to ensure professional education initiatives contribute and align with strategic priorities
  • Provide influence across the organization to secure support and resources to execute programs
  • Drive collaboration and partnership within cross-functional teams for professional education activities, meetings and events
  • Identify and analyze professional education program metrics to measure effectiveness
  • Provide clinical and educational leadership programs and events
  • Participate in society meetings, forums, symposia, educational and scientific programming meetings for promoting product & procedural awareness and guideline development
  • Drive virtual education technology and strategic implementation with educational sites

 Who You Will Report To:

  •  VP, Marketing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience, or combined education/experience shall also be considered.
  • 5+ years in medical device industry
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in design and administration of professional education and academic programs in the medical device industry
  • Urology experience is a plus
  • Ability to travel 40%
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills; ability to adapt to changing work priorities
  • Polished communicator and presenter with excellent listening, teaching, and program evaluation skills.
  • Effective interpersonal interactions, both within the commercial group and in accounts
  • Proficiency with PC-based office computers, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license
