Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, Marketing Communications will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the marketing communications strategy for Calyxo Inc. This role requires a dynamic and experienced professional who can effectively manage integrated marketing campaigns, lead communication initiatives, and drive brand awareness in the medical device sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing communications, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the healthcare industry.
This role report to the Sr. Director of Commercial Marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing communications plans to support the launch and ongoing promotion of Calyxo products, ensuring alignment with overall brand strategy and messaging.
- Campaign Management: Lead the creation, execution, and analysis of integrated marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, content marketing, email marketing, and traditional media.
- Brand Management: Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all communication channels. Oversee the development of brand guidelines and ensure adherence to them.
- Content Creation: Oversee the production of high-quality marketing materials, including sales collateral, email campaigns, social media posts, digital marketing assets, press releases, and website content. Collaborate with internal and external teams to create compelling and informative content that resonates with both HCPs and consumers.
- Public Relations: Partner with Sr. Manager, Commercial Marketing to manage public relations efforts, including media relations and press releases. Build and maintain relationships with key industry influencers and media outlets.
- Event Management: Plan and execute industry events, tradeshows, and conferences. Coordinate logistics, promotional activities, and post-event follow-up with meeting planners and internal stakeholders.
- Digital Marketing: Manage the execution of digital marketing campaigns, including social media, SEO, PPC, and email marketing, to drive engagement, lead generation, and brand visibility. Serve as SME on the marketing tech stack and implement marketing automation platforms. Leads website update planning and digital channel strategy.
- In-Practice Marketing Support: Based on strategy, develop patient-facing marketing materials (brochures, digital assets, etc.) for practices to educate patients about kidney stone disease, treatment options, and the CVAC System.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track performance of marketing campaigns, and provide regular reports to leadership on KPIs such as engagement, lead generation, conversions, and ROI.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing communications budget. Ensure effective allocation of resources and track ROI for all marketing activities.
- Compliance: Ensure all marketing communications comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of marketing communications experience, or combined education/experience shall also be considered.
- 6+ years in medical device industry in a marketing communications role
- Urology experience is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 30% to support marketing initiatives and events
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills; ability to adapt to changing work priorities
- Polished communicator and presenter with excellent listening, teaching, and program evaluation skills.
- Expertise in digital marketing tools and automation platforms, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and content management systems
- Strong understanding of brand positioning and experience developing marketing strategies that effectively differentiate products in a competitive market
- Proven ability to create compelling, results-driven content for a range of channels, including digital, print, and in-person marketing
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Experience with public relations and media relations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with both professional and patient marketing within the life sciences industry
- Effective interpersonal interactions, both within the commercial group and in accounts
- Proficiency with PC-based office computers, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver's license

- Competitive salary of $144,000 - $173,000
