Regional Finance Director

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a talented Regional Finance Director to lead our finance team in the Asia region. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Regional Finance Director will oversee the creation of our regional finance hub. Including setting up standardized financial and systems processes, ERP systems, and management of accounting, financial closes, treasury facilities and internal controls. 

The Regional Finance Director will also evaluate insourcing options for tax and accounting functions. As we continue to expand these outsourced departments will potentially be included in the Regional Finance Director’s remit as determined. Furthermore, they may gain exposure to support M&A transactions in the region, focusing on operational finance needs and ensuring accurate tax assumptions. 

Responsibilities: 

1. Establish and Lead Offshore Regional Finance Back Office: Establish the necessary Financial Planning & Analysis (FPA) and accounting, tax, and credit functions to support finance operations across the region, including building and leading an offshore regional finance back office. 

1. Define and optimize financial toolset while developing and updating KPI’s. 

1. ERP System Setup and Process Standardization: Lead the implementation of ERP systems and standardize financial processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy across the region. Set up full spectrum of finance management and reporting for Peak Energy 

1. Ensure smooth communication channels between finance and cross functional partners such as legal and technical. 

1. Financial Accounting, Close Processes, Forecasting and Insourcing: Oversee financial accounting, monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures.  

1. Own the budgeting and forecasting regionally ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Evaluate opportunities to insource as needed. 

1. M&A Support: Support M&A transactions in the region, focusing on operational finance needs and ensuring accurate tax assumptions. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree and /or CPA highly desirable. 
• Experience in setting up ERP systems and standardizing financial processes. 
• Strong background in financial accounting, close processes, tax, accounting, and FPA activities. 
• Prior experience in audit with one of the Big 4 accounting firms and /or regional finance role in an MNC is a distinct advantage. 
• Experience in managing and evaluating out/ insourced functions. 
• Experience in supporting M&A transactions, focusing on operational finance needs. 
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Proficiency in ERP system setup and process standardization. 
• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills. 
• Knowledge of tax, accounting, and FPA best practices. 
• Ability to build and lead a high-performing finance team. 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
