The Problems You’ll Solve

The primary problem set to solve is simply growing new business in our Private Equity 'PE' Firm sales motion (first derivative of month-over-month and year-over-year net new ARR growth).

  • Lead, manage, and enable a team of Enterprise Account Executives to hit their quota and revenue targets while creating a world class customer experience and representing Carta in the Private Equity Firm ecosystem
  • Partner with cross functional teams (including Product Management, Product Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Business Operations) to drive full funnel and sale cycle optimization and growth
  • Foster a culture of training and coaching in order to ramp new reps and continue building their sales acumen as well as Carta value knowledge
  • Reinforce inputs and activity metrics that enable reps to successfully hit and exceed quota
  • Partner with recruiting to continually build a bench of strong talent for the sales org
  • Work cross-functionally with sales enablement to develop, implement, and refine new hire onboarding and improve ramp time
  • Lead from the front: Participate in active deals to help drive towards closed won opportunities

The Team You’ll Work With

Carta has developed an ownership management platform exclusively for Private Equity Firms and their portfolio company management teams. This includes the first and only Advanced Scenario Modeling tool capable of handling the most complex Private Equity waterfalls, empowering deal teams, valuations teams and management teams to get out of excel and improve accuracy and time to insight for some of their most important strategic decisions.

Over the past several years we’ve seen considerable success working with Private Equity-backed portfolio companies by partnering with Private Equity firms as a channel partner. We’re now pursuing a new and exciting opportunity working with Private Equity Firms as a customer. As a Sales Leader for our Private Equity Firm team, you’ll lead a team of Account Executives and partner cross-functional to strategically navigate Private Equity Firms, evangelize the Carta value proposition and drive revenue directly with these Firms.

About You

As a Sales Leader, your north star will be to hit your team’s ARR goal. Our Account Executives typically split their focus 30/70 on inbound vs. outbound. You’ll need experience using data to inform outbound sales motion approaches, confidence in managing a sales cycle, and be a natural teacher, who is able to equip reps with the skills and expertise to succeed. You’ll put client experience at the forefront of all you do - a key component of Carta’s Private Equity Team.

You bring a deep understanding of the Private Equity landscape and passion for helping private equity funds succeed. You’ll work closely with sales leadership, sales operations, strategy and marketing to help build a meaningful outbound sales strategy.

  • Strong knowledge of the private markets landscape and how to speak to this market
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals as a hunter and closer as an individual contributor and manager
  • 10+ years hiring and managing high performing sales teams
  • Experience successfully managing teams that work in high volume sales cycles
  • Proven track record in leading a team running deal cycles that are 6-9+ months
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and people management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Embrace a growth mind-set and appreciate looking at problems from different perspectives

Proficient working with Salesforce.com and Marketing Automation platforms
At Carta, you’re not just an employee. You’re a builder who is creating  infrastructure that accelerates innovation and empowers more ownership. Cartans are helpful, relentless, unconventional and kind; representing Carta’s Identity Traits. They work collaboratively and cross functionally  to challenge the status quo; working towards a common goal of creating more owners in the private markets.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
