As a Staff Product Manager for Screenings and Verifications, you will build new products to expand Checkr’s capabilities. You will help us enter new markets and verticals, and develop products that serve a diverse range of customers. You will learn about the background check needs of different industries, improve existing screenings, and create new ones, while ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and employers. You will own pricing & packaging, guide operational support, and conduct discovery with customers across multiple segments (particularly enterprise), alongside fulfilling general product management responsibilities.
What you’ll do
- Define and deliver a compelling roadmap that delivers value for enterprise customers.
- Develop new screening and verification products tailored to specific customer segments (for example, professional license verification, or drug screenings).
- Enhance existing screening processes, focusing on candidate, employer, and internal operations experiences.
- Define and execute pricing & packaging strategies for new and existing products.
- Engage in discovery and direct communication with enterprise customers to understand their needs and requirements to inform product strategy and roadmap.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, operations, marketing, analytics, sales, solutions engineering, and customer success to implement product goals and strategies.
- Document detailed requirements, including functional specifications, APIs, data mappings, and experience guidelines.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative insights to inform products, ensuring alignment with market needs.
- As needed, monitor and work with external vendors to advance your products.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to continually enhance our market positioning.
What you bring
- 7+ years of experience in product management, especially in SaaS and Enterprise SaaS products.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful product strategies in a SaaS environment.
- Strong experience in pricing strategy and enterprise customer engagement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and across departments.
- A data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
- Track record of partnering with engineering teams to establish an impactful prioritized product roadmap.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The base salary range for this role is $207,000 to $244,000 in San Francisco, CA.
