Benefits Specialist, City Storage Systems - Los Angeles

What you’ll do:
- Be the primary point of contact for all benefit-related questions and issues from vendors.
- Responsible for Annual Open Enrollment in partnership with the Global Benefits Manager.
- Own audit of vendor file feeds, error checking, and correction of all plans.
- Own compliance requirements, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Interface/consult with other team members to recommend solutions/provide technical reports on various issues
- Complete analysis, data collection, market practice comparisons, and drafting of presentations.
What we’re looking for:
- 2-5+ years of hands-on experience administering employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, wellness, and leave policies.
- Strong understanding of benefits-related laws and regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA) with the ability to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Comfortable working with HRIS and benefit administration systems, spreadsheets, and databases; strong attention to detail and ability to accurately maintain employee records. Problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly to employees and collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and confidential, with a proactive mindset, strong customer-service orientation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
