Partnerships Expert Colombia [Experto comercial de alianzas estratégicas] - Bogotá [Hybrid]

Bogota D.C. / DC / Colombia

Ready to accelerate your career?

Clara is the fastest-growing company in Latin America. We've built the leading solution for companies to make and manage all their payments. We already help over 20,000 large and growing businesses operate with agility and financial clarity through locally issued corporate cards, bill pay, financing, and a powerful B2B platform built for scale.

Clara is backed by some of the most successful investors in the world, including top regional VCs like monashees, Kaszek, and Canary, and leading global funds like Notable Capital, Coatue, DST Global Partners, ICONIQ Growth, General Catalyst, Citi Ventures, SV Angel, Citius, Endeavor Catalyst, and Goldman Sachs - in addition to dozens of angel investors and local family offices.

We’re building the financial infrastructure that powers high-performing organizations across the region. We invite you to join us if you want to be part of a fast-paced environment that will accelerate your career and support you to do some of the best work of your life alongside a passionate and committed team distributed across the Americas.

We’re looking for a Partnerships Lead to open Clara’s accountant and VAR channel in Colombia. There is no local Partnerships owner today. This is a builder seat: you will be the first person in-country dedicated to partnerships, and you will own lead generation through accounting firms, software resellers, and the mid-market advisors who already sit next to the controlador. You need a player-coach mindset — write the strategy, recruit the first partners, and close the deals that make the channel real.

In this role, you will:

  • Open the country motion: Stand up Clara’s first dedicated partnerships presence in Colombia. Define the partner map, the offer, and the operating cadence from zero — coordinated with the global partnerships vertical and the local commercial team.
  • Own lead generation: You are measured on qualified partner-sourced leads and converted volume. Introductions without a close path do not count.
  • Build around the accountant graph: Prioritize the software and firm networks that already concentrate mid-market companies — accounting suites, local ERPs, and the boutiques that implement them. Do not wait on a payroll rail or an enterprise SI tour.
  • Be strategically hands-on: Design GTM by partner profile, personally lead outreach and negotiation, and onboard the first cohort yourself.
  • Navigate internally: Bridge partners with Product, Legal, Sales, Credit, and Success across a country that has not had a partnerships owner. You will have to create the internal path, not just use it.
  • Operational excellence: Full lifecycle: enablement, QBRs, health scores, SLAs, and a short list of partners who actually produce.
  • Drive growth: Track lead quality, conversion, and transaction volume in HubSpot and Metabase. Report a clean partner-sourced number the country team can trust.
  • Workflow efficiency: Use Google Drive, Slack, and N8N to document the Colombia playbook so the next hire does not start from a blank page.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Must haves

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in Partnerships, Channel, or Business Development in Colombia, with a track record building an indirect motion through accountants, software partners, or VARs.
  • Channel craft: You have stood up or materially scaled a partner program — recruitment, tiers, incentives, enablement — that produced leads, not only a partner directory.
  • Domain: Working knowledge of the Colombian accounting and SMB-software landscape and how firms influence the purchase of financial tools.
  • Builder profile: Comfortable being the first partnerships hire in-country. No inherited team, no inherited playbook.
  • Execution: Player-coach. Strategy plus personal sourcing and closing.
  • In-person collaboration: Based in Bogotá, hybrid, with time in the office and in the field with partners.
  • Communication: Native/fluent Spanish and working proficiency in English.
  • Tech-savvy: Experience or strong interest in AI tools to automate partner workflows.

Nice to haves

  • Analytical skills: Metabase, spreadsheets, SQL, or Python.
  • Automation: N8N or Slack integrations.
  • Fintech, payments, or corporate-card experience in Colombia.
  • Portuguese or a desire to work with the Brazil partnerships team.
  • A good sense of humor.

Clara’s Hybrid Policy

Claridians in a hybrid mode split their time between working from the office, talking to or visiting customers, or working from home. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for each individual and team.

We don't enforce a minimum number of days for most roles, but you're expected to spend time at the office organically, and be at the office most days during your ramp-up or when required by your leader.
