Building on this momentum, we have started building a second product, which will launch in 2024, and are uniquely positioned to solve a variety of problems for both schools and families.

Job Description

As we continue to experience growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Director of Finance and Compliance to join our team. This is a leadership role and the person in this seat will serve as a member of the company leadership team, will oversee our small but growing finance, accounting and people teams, and be able to operate at all levels of the G&A org. Our preference is to give priority to candidates with strong finance backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Managerial
    • Help to build and maintain processes for our finance, accounting, and HR teams.
    • Lead a G&A team of three.
    • Work with founders to align strategic and financial goals of the org.
    • Serve as a member of the leadership team.
  • Finance and Accounting
    • Lead the budgeting and financial planning process.
    • Ensure accurate financial reporting, budget management, and compliance with financial regulations.
    • Collaborate with founders to develop financial strategies, manage costs, and ensure resource allocation aligns with business priorities.
    • Oversee the execution of financial audits and internal controls to mitigate risks
  • Compliance, Legal, and HR
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, overseeing contract management
    • Review, negotiate, and model financial implications of vendor agreements
    • Support sales team by answering contract questions posed by prospects and internal team.
    • Lead internal trainings consistent with best practices on legal risk management and recommendations from counsel
    • Work with leadership team and company counsel to understand ongoing and emerging compliance requirements
    • Be the lead on employee relations and performance management (temporary responsibility)

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range of $155,000 - $170,000, depending on experience
