Who We Are Looking For

The Human Resources Generalist will partner with management and employees, providing proactive guidance and counsel in the following areas: employee relations, workforce planning and retention, recruiting, talent management, and HR-related legal compliance with the objective of increasing employee, management, and organizational effectiveness.  

This hands-on role will be critical in executing our people initiatives, providing outstanding internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement.  The right candidate will have 3+ years of experience supporting business units, be customer-focused with strong execution skills, and possess impeccable judgment and integrity. This position will report to the Manager, Human Resources and will be based in either Scottsdale, AZ, or Houston, TX.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Build effective relationships with employees and business leaders and provide seamless strategic and transactional HR support.
  • Serve as employee and business advocate by providing day-to-day coaching and guidance to management and employees regarding policies, procedures and programs.
  • Partner with business leaders to manage and resolve employee relations matters in accordance with company policies, procedures, values, and applicable laws.
  • Coach managers to document performance and behavior. Actively manage performance and behavior issues to resolution.
  • Provide positive customer service by responding to employee and manager on HR- related questions. Provide references to HR policies and procedures.
  • Support the recruiting process by providing front-end assistance with job descriptions, compensation analysis, job posting approvals, etc.
  • Participate in the design and development of Human Resources processes and practices.
  • Recommend and perform quality control procedures as defined to ensure accurate and compliant records, including records related to promotions, job transfers and new hires.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, integrity, respect and teamwork in all matters.
  • Occasionally support performance of end-user testing for HR system configuration changes, problem resolution, enhancements, upgrades, and integration activities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws/regulations such as EEO, FLSA, etc.
  • Work with HR colleagues (generalists and specialists) to identify new opportunities to add value to the organization; help HR colleagues with projects (as and where needed).
  • Manage and implement special projects as assigned.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience.
  • 3+ years of human resources experience in a generalist/specialist function in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
  • 2+ years of recent experience analyzing and resolving employee issues, providing advice and counseling to managers and supervisors.
  • Experience with Success Factors HRIS/Payroll/ATS a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed (10-15%).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, set priorities, and to respond to changing demands; have a bias for action and deliver results.
  • Experience working with a geographically dispersed team

  • Highly organized with demonstrated expertise in process design and improvement.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Energy industry experience preferred.

The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on geographic location, skills, relevant and demonstrated experience, education, training and certifications, and other factors permitted by law. This role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus, subject to personal and company performance goals.

Salary Range Across all U.S. Locations

$77,000 - $85,000 USD
