Who you’ll be working with
We ideate, create, and coordinate. We analyze, strategize, organize, and prioritize. We bridge the communication channel between the client and our project team. We chart the course and navigate the product roadmap sprint by sprint. Some of us are product owners. Some of us are scrum masters. Many of us wear multiple hats and do whatever’s needed to deliver successful projects.
What you’ll be doing
Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to focus on establishing and nurturing partnerships with consulting firms, M&A firms, and private equity firms. This role will be instrumental in expanding Codal’s network of sub-contracting opportunities and joint engagements, ensuring we build strong relationships with strategic partners to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Collaboration
- Collaborate with Codal leadership to identify opportunities for joint ventures and sub-contracting engagements.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to create co-branded proposals and presentations.
- Negotiate terms of partnerships to align with Codal’s strategic goals and revenue targets.
Partnership Outreach and Development
- Identify and research target consulting firms, M&A firms, and private equity firms for partnership opportunities.
- Initiate and build relationships with key stakeholders in target organizations.
- Pitch Codal’s capabilities and services, highlighting value propositions for joint engagements.
Pipeline Management
- Manage a pipeline of potential partners, tracking progress through all stages of the partnership lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach efforts, meetings, and agreements within Salesforce.
- Provide regular updates and reports on partnership progress to Codal leadership.
Market Analysis and Strategy
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential gaps in Codal’s partnership strategy.
- Develop strategies to position Codal as a preferred partner for consulting and private equity firms.
Event Participation and Networking
- Represent Codal at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to build relationships and generate leads.
- Organize and participate in partnership events, webinars, and joint marketing activities.
What you’ll need to be successful (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably in the consulting or technology sectors.
- Strong understanding of consulting firm operations, M&A processes, and private equity markets.
- Proven ability to establish and manage high-value partnerships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Google Suite or Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with Salesforce, Outreach.io/Salesloft, Linkedin Sales Navigator, Google Suite, and PitchBook (nice to have)
- Demonstrate excellent written/verbal communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Be a self-motivated, driven, and positive individual
- Ability to clearly and effectively handle objections
- Minimum 3 days in the Chicago office
Benefits and Salary
- $80,000 - $140,000 OTE
