We are currently looking to hire a Director, Growth and Strategy to join our Corporate team in Kirkland, WA!

This position allows for remote work arrangements within the United States. Our preferred candidate location is in the Greater Seattle area, allowing for occasional visits to our corporate headquarters in Kirkland, WA. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

In this critical role, you will serve as the lead on proposals and bids for new business across all services and consulting pursuits—crafting tailored, persuasive proposals and presentations that showcase our firm’s capabilities, insights, and impact. This is a client-facing role involved directly in sales and business development. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the business proposal and bid process (RFPs, RFIs) including: proactively identifying, researching, strategically crafting, writing and presenting proposals to new clients.   You’ll collaborate closely with our partners, consultants, subject matter experts, and business development leaders to shape win strategies and articulate the value we bring to clients.   This is a hands-on, high-impact role that requires exceptional writing, strong project management, and the ability to operate with poise in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and identify RFP opportunities consistent with Concentric’s growth plan.
  • Lead the development of strategic, high-quality responses to RFPs, RFIs, and other new business opportunities.
  • Manage, direct and collect intelligence related to RFP opportunities.
  • Contribute to the ongoing goals of shaping Concentric's capabilities and offerings to meet the evolving security consulting landscape and needs of current and future clients. 
  • Collaborate with consulting teams and senior stakeholders to define success metrics, competitive positioning, and Concentric capability value propositions.
  • Write, edit, and tailor proposal content that clearly communicates our firm’s qualifications, methodology, pricing models, and differentiators. Develop and refine to align with client needs and evaluation criteria.
  • Support the creation of polished pitch materials and sales presentations for finalist meetings and orals.  Assist in verbal briefings and in-person presentations, as necessary.
  • Maintain and manage a central content library, ensuring consistency and quality across proposal assets.
  • In partnership with the Chief Growth and Strategy officer, initiate, coordinate and track RFPs through the cycle.
  • Support Proposal Opportunities as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement in pursuit processes, templates, and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track and analyze pursuit outcomes to inform best practices and content development.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time.

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 3-5 years working in a similar role related to intelligence, security, or crisis management services in a Fortune 500 company (or private company of significant size).
  • Government or Law Enforcement experience in Security Operations, Intelligence Activity, Investigations, or Executive Protection.
  • Professional experience specifically related to business development, consulting and professional services (i.e. not product sales).
  • Knowledge of professional services business models, consulting project structures, and typical buyer concerns.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a talent for translating complex ideas into clear, client-centric messaging.
  • Excellent oral presentation skills - the ability to command attention, projecting authority and confidence; Experience giving formal presentations to senior executives.
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder proposals under tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience reviewing, scoring, vetting RFPs and Proposals for security services, on behalf of employers/buyers
  • Targeted marketing and sales research experience
  • Experience using SalesForce  
  • OSINT experience, in either the intel, threat or consulting spaces

Seattle, Washington Pay Range

$140,000 - $160,000 USD
