We are currently looking to hire an Open Source Intelligence Analyst to join our team embedded with our client in Seattle!
*This role requires onsite work at our client’s Seattle, WA headquarters, Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Fridays.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Seattle-based Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for monitoring open-source information to proactively identify and assess risks and threats to the client. This position requires superb communication skills and the capacity to assimilate intelligence content from numerous sources into products that effectively communicate risk and opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor, assess, and report on critical and time-sensitive events and trends that pose physical safety and security risks to employees, operations, and assets worldwide. This includes drafting intelligence products used to inform business decision makers on topics related to geopolitical developments, civil unrest, violent extremism, crime, natural disasters, and similar risk factors. Intelligence is also provided in support of topics and operations like crisis management, incident response, protective operations, employee travel, and major events.
- Build and maintain a centralized database that identifies, characterizes, assesses, and prioritizes emerging risks to company partners, operations, and assets.
- Support the annual review of the enterprise risk management programs to ensure captured risks and their scores are relevant, accurate, and current.
- Engage in discovery and feedback sessions with security and cross-functional peers to identify opportunities for new service offerings as well as improvement of existing services.
- Standardize collection practices, integrate tech-enabled solutions, build reporting templates, develop escalation protocols, and take other steps to improve workflows that increase intelligence monitoring, analysis, and reporting efficiencies.
- Develop and leverage data visualization capabilities to improve storytelling and make insights more accessible and compelling.
- Follow company procedures and processes as they relate to industry best practices and handling of confidential information
- This position may require up to 10% travel.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in political science, international affairs, economics, business, or related field
- 3+ years of related experience providing intelligence or risk analysis
- Demonstrated ability to independently produce strategic intelligence assessments and written products tailored to executive audiences.
- Experience leveraging technological resources for research and analysis
- Excellent critical thinking, writing, and oral communication skills
- Familiar with basic macroeconomic concepts
- Comfortable with changing requirements and priorities
- Ability to proactively communicate status and identify risks
- Experience working with diverse partners
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate degree in international relations, security, or related field.
- Demonstrated deep substantive expertise on the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and/or Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) regions.
- Language proficiencies relevant to the EMEA and LAC regions.
- Experience identifying global trends and drafting strategic intelligence products, to include authoring analytic assessments on strategic-level geopolitical developments.
- Experience working on a global team with global stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to process complex information.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and database management, including experience with tools such as Excel (advanced functions and pivot tables) and data visualization platforms (Tableau or Power BI).
- Demonstrated experience with the intelligence cycle, including data collection, information processing, analysis, and finished intelligence production.
- Proficiency in open-source intelligence platforms.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Seattle, Washington Pay Range
$80,000 - $80,000 USD
