Manager, Sales Development
General Summary:
The Manager of Sales Development is responsible for leading a team of entry level to experienced professionals focused on providing operational excellence to the organization by ensuring sales targets and individual metrics are met. This role supports the Sales team's contribution to the growth of the organization by attracting new partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
- Supervises support and/or professional level colleagues - managing a team in multiple regions of approximately 10 colleagues
- Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders
- Leads and prioritizes the daily activities of the team
- Manages, mentors, and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team
- Coordinates cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies to drive efficiency
- Provides leadership in the areas of sales, management, metrics, systems, and processes
- Creates and maintains tools and processes for successfully managing the overall Sales program and the individual initiatives
- Leads sales efforts to build, forecast, identify, and address interdependencies
- Researches and documents risks and high-level change management issues and delivers status on a regular cadence
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop successful sales campaigns
- Identifies, determines, and recommends corrective action to mitigate risks and potential impacts to the enterprise
- Develops reporting and communications for executive leadership and enterprise on overall sales performance, risks, updates, and requests
- Recommends improvements on sales initiatives, delivery, and business analysis processes
- Assists in the operational and tactical aspects of managing multiple opportunities throughout the sales lifecycle, including planning, executing, and closing
- Serves as the point of contact for the Sales Development team and for sales-related information
- Works cross-functionally to focus on planned demand generation campaigns and help the team execute on the campaigns

- Exceptional leadership and strong sales experience
- Proven ability to develop SDRs to AEs
- Run effective one on one meetings with the team and team training sessions
- Strong organizational skills to give the team direction
- Professional presence suitable for interaction in meetings, in-person, or via email, as well as at internal and external facing events
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of the IT field and industry standards
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and change management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft applications • Ability to navigate SharePoint sites, upload documents, track versions, etc.
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Detail-orientated with the ability to multitask and adjust to new tasks and priorities
- Positive, can-do attitude and with willingness to work in a hyper-growth environment
- Strong coaching ability, providing feedback, helping improve prospecting and outreach techniques
- Processes orientated mindset, track performance metrics, and drive consistent pipeline generation
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- 2+ years of managerial experience
- Previously been a SDR Manager, Account Executive, and understands the challenges of the roles
- Saas, IT industry related experience would be a plus
- ConnectWise platform, MSP, IT services, B2B software sales, industry knowledge is a plus
Working Conditions:
- Onsite in Tampa
- 0-10% travel may be required
