About the Role

We're seeking a dynamic and highly creative Art Director to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on visual leader with a strong foundation in traditional branding and visual identity who is passionate about leveraging systems, automation, and AI tools to deliver impactful, on-brand creative at scale. You'll be instrumental in translating client needs into compelling visual solutions, dedicating a significant portion of your time to executing diverse client tasks, managing 1-2 junior creatives, and providing critical support to the Creative Director and CMO across various projects.

This is not your typical design role. It sits at the intersection of art direction, AI optimization, and content production. You’ll bring taste and craft; we’ll bring scale and speed.

What You'll Do

  • Creative Development & Execution
Design high-performing assets across channels, including paid social, display, email, video, and branded templates—with a focus on performance, flexibility, and platform compatibility.

  • Collaboration with Executive Leadership
Comfortably work alongside executive leadership, providing creative input, presenting design rationale, and contributing to strategic discussions as a key creative contributor.

  • AI-Powered Design Implementation
Learn and use Constellation’s proprietary GenAI and content automation systems to create scalable visuals that feel custom, not templated. Help define how AI and creativity co-exist in daily workflows.

  • Template-Driven System Design
Develop modular design systems for multi-brand clients that strike a balance between creative freedom and brand compliance, particularly in regulated industries such as healthcare and auto.

  • Brand & Visual Identity Stewardship
Uphold (and push) brand guidelines across every execution. Maintain consistency while building variety across format and funnel.

  • Team Management & Mentorship
Lead and mentor 1-2 junior creatives, providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and fostering their professional growth. Oversee their daily tasks and ensure their contributions align with project goals and brand standards.

What You Bring

  • 7–9 years of design experience in an agile, high-growth environment, ideally with exposure to brand systems and strategic client campaigns

  • Deep understanding of brand governance, with experience in developing clear and actionable brand guidelines

  • A portfolio that shows taste, polish, and versatility—bonus if you can show scalable systems or template thinking

  • Confidence in making high-impact design decisions and providing approvals within workflows

  • Strategic mindset—you think about why something works, not just how it looks

  • Passion for visual hierarchy, type systems, layout, and production-ready design

  • Familiarity with creative production for industries where compliance and consistency matter

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, take feedback, and push creative ideas further

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and Figma

Bonus Points

  • Hands-on experience with creative automation or content personalization tools

  • Experience designing within performance-focused campaigns (paid social, programmatic, DCO)

  • Automotive or pharma vertical experience

  • UX/UI Design skills are a plus

Why You’ll Thrive Here

  • You’re not afraid of speed—we move fast and ship smart.

  • You’re excited to experiment with how AI enhances human creativity.

  • You want to be part of a creative team that’s building the future of marketing—now.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive Healthcare, Dental, and Vision coverage
  • Flexible PTO
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Casual in office dress code
  • Competitive 401k plan with company match
  • Commuter and Parking Benefits
  • Paid Family Leave
  • Uber Eats stipend, free snacks, and beverages
  • Wellness programs and other employee perks

Constellation is committed to diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity. If you require accommodation during the interview process, please let us know.

Compensation: Includes base salary, equity options, and benefits. Final package commensurate with experience.

$100,000-110,000

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
