The Network Lead serves as a lead engineer for the Networking Team, responsible for guiding a team of network engineers in daily operational activities and strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Acting as a liaison between the network team, business units, and management, the Network Lead ensures technology initiatives support the organization’s mission and core values.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic IT Planning: Develop and implement long-term IT strategies aligned with organizational goals, evaluate emerging technologies, and propose innovative solutions.
- Team Lead: Foster a collaborative work environment, mentor network engineers, and ensure efficient team operations.
- Project Management: Collaborate with the PMO office on resource allocation, task execution, and IT project delivery, monitoring progress and addressing risks.
- Budgeting: Assist in the budget development by analyzing cost-saving opportunities and optimizing spending.
- IT Infrastructure and Operations: Ensure network stability, security, and scalability, including system maintenance and disaster recovery planning.
- Information Security: Work with the Security Team to enforce robust security measures and ensure network compliance with regulations.
- Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers, reviewing SLAs and monitoring performance.
- User Support and Training: Coordinate user support services and assist in identifying necessary training programs to enhance IT skills.
- IT Policies and Procedures: Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to maintain consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within the IT department.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in network engineering and team leadership.
- Strong project management and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in network infrastructure and security best practices.
- Experience in vendor management and budgeting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Up-to-date knowledge of IT trends and emerging technologies.
