Summary:
We are seeking two dedicated Forms Testers to join our team in Metro Atlanta. These part-time roles, with start dates in October and December, respectively, involve ensuring web form accessibility and compliance with WCAG standards. The ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in accessibility principles and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Review and test web forms for WCAG 2.1/2.2 compliance across various browsers and devices.
- Utilize screen readers and other assistive technologies to assess form accessibility.
- Identify and document accessibility issues related to navigation, ARIA usage, and color contrast.
- Create detailed bug reports, referencing specific WCAG success criteria and suggesting remediation solutions.
- Stay informed on accessibility laws and standards, ensuring ongoing best practices.
- Collaborate with the Department of Revenue Taxpayer Services Division to address and integrate accessibility into form design.
- Validate fixes by retesting remediated defects to confirm issue resolution and business logic integrity.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of two years of experience in accessibility testing for ADA, 508 Regulations, and WCAG compliance.
- Proficiency with tools like Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, and Color Contrast Analyzer.
- Hands-on experience with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation.
- Strong communication skills for clear documentation of technical findings.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ARIA attributes.
- Local to Metro Atlanta and must be a US Citizen or GC-Permanent Resident.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) and/or IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) certification.
- Knowledge of ADA, 508 regulations, and EN 301 549.
- Experience in government compliance is a plus.
