
Special Security Technician - Physical Security

Responsibilities:
- Assist in matters pertaining to the physical security, Sensitive Comparted Information Facilities (SCIF) security requirements and crime prevention programs concerned with the protection of personnel, facilities and property within the area of responsibility.
- Provide support for security policy formulation, development, and evaluation
- Participate in development of the antiterrorism program
- Document and update the development of internal policy and procedures
- Draft security policies for review and approval by Government personnel
- Provide written recommendations in sufficient detail to permit senior management to make an informed, independent decision to grant and/or disapprove changes in current security policies
- Compose correspondence, briefings, presentations, and white papers, when required • Evaluate and consult on project-related security issues • Provide security education and awareness support
- Collect and Coordinate security awareness materials for review and approval by Government personnel
- Provide security assistance to Field Offices, as required
- Participate in community working groups on security policy and awareness
- Monitor and update the DCSA Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) ServiceNow, and other systems as directed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 3-10 years of experience, experience can be a combination of related experience in industrial security and the U.S. military.
- Must have experience in SCIF life-cycle projects, construction. and inspections for accreditation.
- Must have knowledge on ICD 705 series and DoDM 5105.21
- Must have working knowledge in areas of security concerning Physical, Personnel, Information, Technical, Transmission and Security Incidents (Violations and Infractions)
- Must be able to climb a ladder and lift 25 lbs. in order to conduct physical examination of areas and systems not readily visible for the purpose of security inspections and staff assistance visits in SCIFS.
- Must be able to travel (CONUS and OCONUS)
Security Clearance:
- TS/SCI required
Salary Range: $100,00 - $104,000
The pay range reflected above is a general guideline for this position and labor category and is not a guarantee of a specific salary or offer. Final compensation is determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, certifications, security clearance level, contract requirements, geographic location, and internal pay equity, and may reflect market data specific to the awarded contract
