Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Talent Management Practitioner to join our team. This individual contributor role will report directly to the Chief Learning Officer/VP of Talent Management and Business Partners. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing our talent management processes, developing tools and templates for organizational design, and advising on best practices for performance management.
Responsibilities
Annual Review & Performance Management
- Manage and oversee Coursera’s annual review process and quarterly performance check-ins.
- Develop criteria and guidelines to ensure consistent and fair performance evaluations across the organization.
- Provide training and support for managers on effective performance feedback and goal setting.
- Design and implement performance improvement plans and track progress.
- Utilize performance data to identify top talent and key performance issues.
- Continuously refine and improve performance management processes based on feedback and best practices
Organizational Change & Design
- Develop and implement tools and templates to support organizational design and change initiatives.
- Conduct organizational diagnostics to identify and address structural and cultural challenges.
- Design and deliver change management programs that ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes.
- Facilitate workshops and focus groups to gather information and drive organizational design initiatives.
- Create detailed project plans for organizational change initiatives, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of change initiatives on overall organizational performance.
Talent Strategy & Planning
- Advise on formats and processes for performance management that align with Coursera's culture and strategic goals.
- Conduct workforce planning and talent analytics to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and monitor metrics to assess the effectiveness of talent management initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to align talent strategy with business objectives.
- Identify critical roles and develop succession planning strategies.
- Research and integrate external talent management trends and best practices to enhance internal processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work independently while collaborating with different functions across the People Team and the business to drive talent results.
- Partner with HR business partners, learning and development teams, and other stakeholders to create cohesive talent management strategies.
Talent Development
- Identify high-potential employees and create development plans to prepare them for future leadership roles.
- Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to design and implement development programs.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to managers on staff development and performance improvement.
Basic Qualifications
- Deep understanding of change management, organizational change and effectiveness, organizational culture, strategic workforce planning, and talent trends.
- 5+ years of experience in talent management, organizational design, and organizational change
- Proficient with HR systems such as Workday or similar.
- Strong data analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to design and implement effective organizational change and performance management strategies.
- Knowledge of talent management best practices and trends.
- Familiarity with GenAI applications for HR.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the tech or edtech industry is desired but not required.

$130,000 - $150,000 USD
US Zone 3 - all other US locations
$98,400 - $123,000 USD
The range(s) listed above is the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.
Salary is just one component of Coursera’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for a bonus program and equity in the form of RSU’s.
A number of factors are taken into account when determining pay, which includes: job level, location, training/education, business need, skill set and internal equity.
