*Banking services provided by MVB Bank, Inc., Member FDIC
Security is a core value at Credit Karma. We help millions of people better manage their credit. Safeguarding their sensitive information is critical to our continued success. From the leaders down to each individual engineer, everyone views security as a personal responsibility. Your unique mission in Security GRC is to assess security controls while surfacing risk to technology and business owners in a collaborative and actionable way.
The Security Governance, Risk & Compliance team [Security GRC] at Credit Karma is looking to hire a Senior Security Risk Analyst. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience across cybersecurity risk management and compliance domains with the ability to apply their knowledge to work on risk & compliance initiatives across CK’s technology platform.
What you'll do:
- Identify and communicate security and control deficiencies to business risk owners
- Drive regular technical risk reviews with security, engineering, & business teams and establish risk treatment plans in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Monitor risk remediation activities and ensure risk findings are remediated per agreed upon treatment plan
- Perform risk assessments against regulatory and security control frameworks
- Contribute towards process improvement of risk management team processes, templates and tools.
- Plan and manage small to medium GRC projects
- Participate in cybersecurity maturity assessments and audit activities
What’s great about the role:
- Carrying out two positive missions at the same time: helping people take back control of their credit and helping to keep their personal information safe
- Solving security problems at scale in a highly technology-focused team, with a culture of “how to do this safely”, not a culture of “no”
- Spending way less time convincing anyone why security is important and way more time talking about how to manage risk effectively - the importance of security is woven into our DNA already!
What we’re looking for:
- 4+ years of relevant experience in information security risk management
- Experience working with Engineering/technology teams on Security risk programs
- Experience working in cloud-native technology environments (GCP, AWS etc)
- Strong technical (cloud security, network security, IT infrastructure etc.) background
- Hands on experience performing risk analysis and security reviews
What we’d like to see:
- Fintech, Technology, Financial Services, or Consulting work experience
- Bachelors or Masters degree with proficiency in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or relevant technical field experience in a security domain
- Industry recognized information security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSK, CCSP etc.
- Knowledge of and experience with risk assessment best practices, effective security metrics, security risk standards and frameworks (such as NIST CSF/800-53, CIS, ISO etc.)
