About Customer.io

Over 8,000 companies — from scrappy startups to global brands — use our platform to send billions of emails, push notifications, in-app messages, and SMS every day. Customer.io powers automated communication that people actually want to receive. We help teams send smarter, more relevant messages using real-time behavioral data.

We’re looking for a creative, detail-loving Demand Generation Manager, Events to help us bring Customer.io to life across virtual and in-person experiences. From webinars and workshops to field activations and sponsored conferences, you’ll play a key role in building events that spark curiosity, deepen trust, and fuel our demand engine.

You’ll partner closely with teams across Demand Gen, Content, Design, Partnerships, and Sales to create events that feel polished, thoughtful, and unmistakably “us.” If you love crafting memorable moments, thrive in fast-moving environments, and get energized by using data to make every event better than the last, this role is for you.

This role includes 15%+ travel for field events, conferences, and onsite support.

What we value

  • Human-centered experiences. You create events that feel thoughtful, relevant, and genuinely useful.
  • Collaborative energy. You work smoothly across teams and make alignment feel easy.
  • Insight-driven decisions. You let data guide you while keeping the attendee experience at the center.
  • Action with intention. You move quickly, adapt gracefully, and learn from every event.
  • Operational clarity. You bring structure, calm, and consistency to fast-moving work.

What you’ll do

Event planning & coordination

  • Support the planning and coordination of Customer.io’s global events calendar — from virtual sessions and webinars to field events and industry conferences.
  • Partner with the Senior Demand Gen Manager and broader marketing team to define goals, audiences, formats, and success metrics.
  • Help evaluate sponsorships, speaking slots, event formats, and new opportunities that align with our demand goals
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure every event feels cohesive and aligned with our campaigns and messaging.

Execution & project management

  • Manage the day-to-day logistics that make events successful: vendor coordination, timelines, run-of-show, speaker prep, and on-the-ground or virtual support.

Partner with Content, Design, Product Marketing, and Sales to develop compelling event assets and presentations.

  • Oversee registration flows, pre-event communication, and the attendee experience — from first touch to follow-up.

  • Step in wherever needed to keep events running smoothly, calmly, and on-brand.

Audience growth & promotion

  • Execute multi-channel promotional plans across email, social, paid, and partner channels.
  • Build and optimize landing pages, forms, and registration workflows.
  • Collaborate with RevOps and Lifecycle teams to ensure lead capture, routing, and follow-up happen correctly and quickly.
  • Manage attendee communication throughout the event lifecycle.

Performance & optimization

  • Track event performance — registrations, attendance, engagement, and pipeline impact.
  • Share insights and recommendations to help us continually improve ROI and attendee experience.
  • Maintain documentation, templates, and repeatable workflows that make running events smoother and more scalable.
  • Partner with RevOps to ensure clean attribution and accurate reporting across systems.

What we're looking for

You’re a hands-on, highly organized marketer who loves building great experiences and understands how events translate into pipeline. You stay grounded under pressure, thrive in a distributed environment, and enjoy the collaboration required to make events exceptional.

  • 3+ years in event marketing, demand generation, or integrated marketing within B2B SaaS.
  • Experience supporting or running a mix of virtual events, webinars, and in-person activations.
  • Strong project management skills — you juggle timelines, tasks, and teams with ease.
  • Experience collaborating with Sales and supporting event-driven follow-up.
  • Comfortable with marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Customer.io, Marketo, etc.) and Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with webinar platforms (Livestorm, Zoom, ON24, etc.) and event management tools.
  • Understanding of lead capture, UTMs, attribution, and event funnel performance.
  • Ability to partner with RevOps to troubleshoot data flows and ensure clean reporting.

What success looks like

  • Events run smoothly, predictably, and with a little bit of Customer.io magic.
  • Attendance and engagement steadily increase across webinars and field activations.
  • Sales and Marketing feel tightly connected and supported by event-driven pipeline.
  • You surface insights that help us get sharper, smarter, and more efficient over time.
  • Our playbooks, templates, and processes get better — and help the whole team move faster.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
