Senior GL Accountant

As the Senior GL Accountant, you will work closely with the Assistant Controller and other members of the team and responsibilities will include applying accounting principles and procedures in analyzing financial information, preparing accurate and timely financial reports; ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures, and executing routine and recurring complex accounting functions for assigned operation divisions with diverse operations and accounting requirements. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annually account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts
  • Assist in monthly/quarterly/annual close process while ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and supporting detail maintained
  • Maintain fixed asset, depreciation, and vehicle leasing schedules
  • Participate in quarterly ERP upgrade testing and roll out of new entities, etc. 
  • Assist with preparation and coordination of year-end audit
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures including Sarbanes Oxley
  • Assist in the development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Prepare tax filings for various state and regulatory agencies
  • Assist in aspects of payroll processing
  • May participate in monitoring Concur expense system and sunshine reporting
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics or equivalent experience
  • CPA is preferred
  • Payroll and Concur experience appreciated
  • 5+ years relevant general ledger accounting experience in industry (can include payroll or ap experience as part of the 5+ years) or at least 2+ years in public accounting
  • A positive attitude, personal integrity, discretion and candor; adaptable and flexible
  • Thrive in a high growth, entrepreneurial environment, wearing multiple hats and adjusting priorities as the business evolves
  • Self-starting personality: ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Proven ability to apply judgment in resolving accounting issues or in proposing recommendations
  • Outstanding Microsoft Office skills, especially strong Excel skills
  • Excellent detail orientation, including ability to effectively operate in high volume transactional environment- highly self-motivated and demonstrated ability to grow into additional complexity and responsibility

 



Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience, as well as the service line and location where this position may be filled.

Salary Pay Range

$146,000 - $162,000 USD
