Postdoctoral Fellow, Systems Biology (Son Group – Biohub Chicago)

The Opportunity

The Son group at Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Chicago (https://www.czbiohub.org/chi/) is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to study minimal model(s) for cell-to-cell and intra-cellular signaling networks in tissue,  especially in terms of autoimmunity and cancer.

What You'll Do

• Analyze multi-omic data, modeling and resolving systems of  equations related to gene regulatory networks and spatiotemporal cell-cell signaling
• Conduct microfluidic experiments after training as needed

You have 

Essential -

• PhD in Physics, Bio-engineering, Mechanical engineering, or other STEM fields
• 3 years of research experience
• Ability to analyze data using various  mathematical tools (e.g., wavelet transformation, information theory) and solve differential equations

Nice to have - 

• Modeling and simulation using  Matlab, Python, or R

Compensation

The Chicago, IL base pay for this role is $75,000.00. New hires are typically hired into the lower portion of the range, enabling employee growth in the range over time. Actual placement in range is based on job-related skills and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process.
