What You'll Do: Make an Impact Every Day

As a Systems Administrator, you’ll be a key player in ensuring seamless, secure IT operations both on-site and remotely. You’ll support users, manage systems, and troubleshoot issues to keep critical environments running.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting and maintaining Windows and Linux desktop/server systems on local and wide-area networks

  • Providing Tier 2/3 support for users, systems, and infrastructure — both remote and on-site

  • Installing OS and application software, implementing patches, and managing updates

  • Troubleshooting complex issues across hardware, software, and network layers

  • Performing routine and emergency maintenance on data center equipment

  • Enhancing system reliability and security (e.g., STIG compliance, HBSS, Retina)

  • Supporting backup/recovery, disaster recovery planning, and system integrity

  • Managing and maintaining procedures and SOPs for system configuration and operations


What You’ll Bring: Skills & Experience

Must-Haves:

  • TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph

  • Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of relevant experience — or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in Windows/Unix administration, hardware, and network support

  • Familiarity with trouble ticketing systems like Service+

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize under pressure

  • Willingness to provide after-hours support (on-call)

  • Must obtain CompTIA Security+ (or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent) and a Windows certification within 90 days of hire

  • Valid U.S. Passport

  • Able to travel 30–75% within the Washington Metro Area, with occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel

  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform physical duties such as kneeling, crawling, or climbing


Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Background in imagery intelligence or geospatial systems

  • Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and familiarity with Windows, Linux, Solaris

  • Knowledge of SQL, Sybase, Informix, or experience in the Imagery Production Chain

  • Experience with ArcGIS, Socet GXP, or similar analytic tools

  • Strong understanding of ITIL or other IT service frameworks

  • Knowledge of system hardening and cybersecurity best practices

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $130-140k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
