As a Senior Product Designer on our Growth team at dbt Labs, you'll be at the forefront of our product-led growth strategy, driving self-serve revenue through thoughtful, data-informed design. This isn't about small, incremental optimizations – you'll be taking big swings to reimagine key conversion points throughout our product experience.

Your work will directly impact how users discover, adopt, and ultimately become paying customers of dbt Cloud. You'll design experiences that not only delight users but measurably improve our trial activation rates, conversion rates, and upgrade paths. Working closely with our cross-functional team, you'll rapidly iterate, test, and implement experiments that unlock sustainable growth for our business.

We're looking for a designer who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves digging into data, and sees each failed experiment as a valuable learning opportunity. Someone who can balance user needs with business objectives while maintaining the high-quality experience our customers expect from dbt Labs.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Lead the redesign of critical user journeys including our trial, free Developer plan, and upgrade experiences
  • Design and implement rapid experiments aimed at improving conversion metrics across the product
  • Analyze user behavior data and session recordings to identify friction points and opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and marketing to execute a cohesive growth strategy
  • Establish frameworks for measuring design impact on key business metrics
  • Champion a culture of experimentation, learning, and sharing insights across the organization
  • Develop scalable growth design patterns that can be applied consistently throughout the product
  • Coach and mentor others in growth-focused design principles and methodologies

You are a good fit if you:

  • Have 8+ years of product design experience, with at least 2 years focused on growth, conversion, or acquisition design
  • Have a strong portfolio demonstrating measurable impact on user acquisition, activation, retention, or revenue metrics
  • Work quickly with an iterative design philosophy that uses rapid prototyping and testing
  • Have experience designing for B2B or enterprise products
  • Have experience with A/B testing and experiment design
  • Apply a data-driven decision making approach to design with a focus on driving business and growth metrics
  • Are self-directed with ability to manage ambiguity and prioritize effectively
  • Embrace failure and appreciate the learning opportunity from experiments that don't succeed
  • Are highly collaborative and thrive in a remote-first environment
  • Are comfortable occasionally adapting your schedule to conduct user research with customers in different time zones
  • Are highly proficient in modern design tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.)

You'll have an edge if you:

  • Are familiar with product analytics tools
  • Have knowledge of dbt and data engineering workflows
  • Have experience growing self-service revenue in a B2B SaaS product
  • Have developed systems to quickly gather and integrate user feedback

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: 271,000 - 380,000 BRL per year

Your experience should ideally focus on designing software products, not landing pages or websites.
