We are looking for a driven and capable HSE Officer to support us with the development of multiple data center projects for one of the top technology clients in the world. This is a client-facing role that requires strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, the ability to work independently under supervision, and a keen attention to detail in fast-paced project environments.

You will play an important role in helping to ensure the safety and environmental compliance of all job site activities. Working closely with HSE Managers and construction professionals, you will assist in identifying hazards, supporting safety training programs, maintaining documentation, and conducting routine inspections and audits to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in monitoring construction and site operations to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct routine HSE inspections and report findings to the HSE Manager.
  • Support the development and delivery of toolbox talks, site orientations, and other safety briefings.
  • Assist with incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis under the guidance of senior HSE personnel.
  • Help maintain accurate HSE documentation, including OSHA 300 logs, inspection checklists, and training records.
  • Coordinate and track safety training sessions, certifications, and permit renewals for site personnel.
  • Participate in safety meetings and document minutes, follow-up items, and action plans.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers and site teams to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Assist in reviewing site-specific safety plans and identifying potential hazards.
  • Contribute to environmental tracking initiatives, such as waste logs, emissions records, and sustainability metrics.
  • Prepare basic reports, metrics, and visual aids (PowerPoint, Excel) to support site safety reviews and client updates.
  • Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions on-site.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS

Required qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in construction safety or HSE coordination roles.
  • Associate degree or equivalent education in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or related fields.
  • Prior experience in data centers or mission-critical construction sites.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with construction site protocols, equipment, and HSE compliance requirements.
  • Experience in maintaining safety documentation and assisting with regulatory reporting.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with construction and HSE teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Safety or environmental certifications (e.g., CHST, STSC, First Aid/CPR).
  • Previous experience in a client-facing construction or consulting role.
