We are looking for a driven and capable Project Controls & Reporting Engineer to support the delivery of large-scale Data Center projects in KSA.

The successful candidate will support the project controls team with planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, performance analysis, and reporting activities. The role will work closely with project management, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate project information, timely reporting, and early identification of potential schedule and performance issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development, review, and maintenance of project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), CPM baseline schedules, and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
  • Update and maintain weekly and monthly project schedules to accurately reflect project progress.
  • Review contractor, consultant, and vendor schedules and identify inconsistencies, delays, or potential risks.
  • Monitor project progress against approved baselines, contractual milestones, and planned completion dates.
  • Perform schedule analysis to identify critical-path activities, schedule slippage, float erosion, constraints, and potential bottlenecks.
  • Support resource and cost loading of project schedules where required.
  • Assist in analyzing resource requirements, productivity, and progress performance.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Earned Value Management (EVM) and project performance measurement systems.
  • Monitor project performance indicators including planned versus actual progress, schedule variance, and earned value metrics.
  • Prepare and maintain project-control reports including:
    • Progress curves
    • Critical-path reports
    • Resource histograms
    • Milestone trackers
    • Look-ahead schedules
    • Schedule variance reports
    • KPI dashboards
    • Weekly and monthly progress reports
  • Collect, review, validate, and consolidate project data from contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.
  • Support the preparation of project dashboards and management presentations using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools.
  • Develop clear reporting narratives explaining project progress, delays, risks, issues, and corrective actions.
  • Support progress-measurement activities and ensure reported progress is supported by appropriate project evidence.
  • Identify potential project risks and support the development and tracking of mitigation actions.
  • Assist in performing what-if, impact, and delay analyses where required.
  • Support project-control activities related to design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover milestones.
  • Coordinate with project teams to track long-lead equipment, procurement activities, and critical project interfaces.
  • Maintain project-control registers, trackers, dashboards, and reporting templates.
  • Ensure consistency between schedules, progress reports, dashboards, and management reporting.
  • Participate in project progress, coordination, and project-controls meetings.
  • Support senior Project Controls personnel in preparing information for client and management meetings.
  • Maintain effective communication with project teams, consultants, contractors, and client representatives on project-control and reporting matters.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of construction project controls, planning, or scheduling experience.
  • Strong understanding of construction planning, scheduling, and project-controls principles.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial, or complex building projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, including:
    • Schedule development
    • Schedule updating
    • Baseline management
    • Critical-path analysis
    • Resource loading
    • Progress reporting
  • Good understanding of CPM scheduling, WBS development, Integrated Master Schedules, and progress measurement.
  • Experience preparing project-control reports such as critical-path reports, progress curves, resource histograms, milestone trackers, and schedule-performance reports.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze project information and identify trends, variances, risks, and potential delays.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project information.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with technical teams, contractors, consultants, and project-management personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data Center construction experience.
  • Experience in vertical construction projects such as:
    • Data Centers
    • Hospitals
    • Hotels
    • Mixed-use developments
    • Mission-critical facilities
  • Experience working for a PMC, project-management consultant, contractor, or client-side organization.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
  • Familiarity with cost control, forecasting, and resource planning.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar data-visualization/reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project.
  • Experience performing schedule impact or delay analysis.
  • Previous experience in KSA or the GCC.
  • PSP, PMI-SP, PMP, or AACE certification is preferred.
  • Active membership in PMI, AACE International, or a similar professional association is preferred.
