QA/QC Electrical Engineer – Data Centers
Role Overview
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented QA/QC Electrical Engineer to support electrical quality assurance and quality control activities for major mission-critical and data center projects in KSA.
The role will be responsible for conducting electrical inspections, monitoring contractor compliance, reviewing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), supporting NCR management, maintaining quality records, and ensuring electrical installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable standards.
The ideal candidate has hands-on electrical QA/QC experience on large-scale construction, infrastructure, EPC, PMC, or mission-critical projects and a strong practical understanding of electrical systems, ISO 9001, inspection processes, testing requirements, NCRs, and quality documentation.
Responsibilities

Conduct QA/QC inspections and surveillance activities for electrical installation works.

Verify that electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable codes and standards.

Inspect installation of MV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, busways, panels, cables, grounding, and related electrical infrastructure.

Review and monitor contractor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection requests, checklists, and supporting electrical quality records.
-
Witness electrical inspections, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities in accordance with approved ITPs.

Verify cable installation, termination, labeling, routing, continuity, insulation resistance, grounding, and associated testing requirements.

Review material inspection requests and verify electrical equipment and materials against approved submittals and specifications.

Identify non-conforming electrical work and support preparation and issuance of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

Monitor electrical NCRs through corrective action and closure and escalate unresolved or recurring issues to the QA/QC Manager.

Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.

Monitor electrical workmanship, equipment installation, testing activities, and construction quality.

Coordinate with electrical contractors, consultants, vendors, commissioning teams, and project stakeholders to resolve quality-related issues.

Review electrical test reports, certificates, calibration records, inspection reports, and supporting documentation.

Maintain accurate electrical inspection records, NCR logs, punch lists, quality reports, and supporting evidence.

Support internal and external quality audits and surveillance activities.

Identify recurring electrical quality issues and trends and report them to the QA/QC Manager.

Assist in preparing electrical quality KPIs, reports, dashboards, and project quality statistics.

Support energization readiness, testing, commissioning, punch-list closeout, handover, and final quality documentation.

Verify completeness and availability of electrical quality records required for system turnover and handover.

Support implementation of the Project Quality Management Plan and Quality Management System across assigned electrical work packages.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
-
Relevant electrical QA/QC engineering experience on construction, infrastructure, EPC, PMC, or major capital projects.

Hands-on experience inspecting electrical installation works and systems.
-
Experience with MV/LV distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, cables, grounding, panels, and related electrical equipment.

Experience with electrical ITPs, inspection requests, testing records, and quality documentation.
-
Good understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
-
Experience reviewing electrical works against approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
-
Knowledge of electrical testing activities, including insulation resistance, continuity, grounding, cable testing, and equipment testing.
-
Experience identifying non-conformances and following corrective actions through closure.

Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes.

Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams, schematics, layouts, technical specifications, and equipment documentation.

Strong documentation, reporting, and record-management skills.

Ability to coordinate effectively with contractors, consultants, vendors, commissioning teams, and project stakeholders.

Strong communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience on hyperscale data center or mission-critical projects.
-
Experience with critical electrical infrastructure such as MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, ATS/STS, busways, and EPMS.

Previous experience within a PMC, consultant, EPC, or major contractor environment.
-
ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or equivalent quality certification.

Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, or other applicable international electrical standards.

Experience supporting electrical commissioning, energization, integrated systems testing, and handover.

Familiarity with electronic Quality Management Systems and document control platforms.

Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and associated QA/QC requirements.
-
Experience preparing quality reports, NCR statistics, inspection dashboards, and quality performance metrics.
