About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Product Management to join our Platform Product team. In this critical leadership role, you will define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Degreed’s enterprise platform. Your expertise in SaaS platforms, exceptional leadership skills, and track record of delivering high-impact products will shape the future of our platform. This role includes ownership of key platform-level capabilities such as APIs and developer experience, authentication and authorization, identity services, SSO (single sign-on), security and compliance, and platform architecture.

Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Vision: Define and drive the strategic vision for the platform, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives and evolving market needs.
- Roadmap Development:
- Build and maintain an outcome-focused product roadmap.
- Manage competing priorities and evolving requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Prioritize impactful initiatives to achieve measurable outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to align strategies and deliver seamless product launches.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to inform product strategy and identify new opportunities.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to sunset, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with market needs.
- Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring the platform meets and exceeds user expectations.
- Metrics & KPIs: Define, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and refine strategy.
- Product Enablement: Equip internal teams with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively sell, market, and support the platform.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role within SaaS companies.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep expertise in enterprise software and SaaS platform ecosystems.
- Agile Expertise: Familiarity with agile methodologies and the ability to adapt quickly to change.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with API-driven platforms, developer ecosystems, and platform-level tools like Jira and Aha!.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- Bonus Experience: Background in corporate learning, HR information systems, or enterprise learning solutions.
